Mixed Border Card

Hi crafters!  You can produce great looks for your cards by mixing the Gemini dies and the Configurations dies.  Today's video shows you how to create a pretty border by doing just that!

The finished dimensions are 8" x

Guess you'll so much enjoy CHA - and a nice escape from our foul weather, there's a rumour we'll have snow next week. Having a big 'animal shop' today for the furry ones just in case!
After the big van repair bill wasn't going to get anything new, BUT yesterday succumbed and ordered the buckle die (and not a lot of pennies either).
Lorraine F - pleased for your good news so now just keep well - and hugs to all.

  78. Sue, what a fabulous card. My favourite colour combination and I also love the configuration dies. I can see the buckle bar is very useful too. I finished going through my recordings yesterday and you used the buckle bar a lot.
A package has arrived from my eldest son for tomorrow's birthday and it is definitely some dies so I am looking forward to opening it.
The cold is still at the same stage so maybe I will get away with it, touching wood just in case.
Laine, I really need to cut back on the sugar too but also need to lose more weight. Diet on Monday as long as I have finished all my chocolate. If I get more for my birthday will have to put it off for another week.

  97. Today's card is so elegant. Love all the aspects of it. You always amaze me how you can cut and nip the die cuts to come up with such different looks. I have watched you over and over again doing this cut and nip, but my brain does not think in these terms. I will need to make a card using your technique of cut and nip so I can get the process of "seeing" the design in the dies. I am enamored with the Art Deco Rose Swirl embossing folder. I am placing this folder on my want list today. Thanks for the video and sharing your talents with us Wilsonettes.

  112. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

I had to laugh today, Yvonne said last week I think that she had spent so much time with you...through videos and Hochanda shows...that she felt you were close friends, joined at the hip, bosom buddies etc and after spending a glorious afternoon relaxing with your recent shows I totally see her point. I worked my way through a few and felt exhilarated and inspired...and my credit card was a quivering wreck in anticipation of a severe hammering:-) I just wish that some of your genius was catching because maybe then I could have an inspiring or dare I say it original thought of my own instead of having to use your ideas as a springboard....oh well, I guess that we can't all be so gifted:-(
I am excited to find out the new products from the CHA event, I wonder if the new electronic adapter for the Platinum will be featured.....oh I could cause a lot of damage in a building full of craft goodies it must be so hard to control your urges Sue to splurge indiscriminately , or will you be too busy to browse I wonder?
Lorraine, I have my fingers crossed that your cold keeps a low profile at least until your birthday passes, I hope your day lives up to your expectations and you have loads of fun. Never a good time to start a diet when birthday cake is on offer, take my advice, I've found a little bit of what you fancy does you the world of good:-)
Jan, you're quite right, life is too short...and I am way too thin...to be even contemplating cutting out the tastiest ingredient in my diet. I had pure thoughts and good intentions but I am fundamentally flawed and weak and my resolve was flimsy at best:-)
Theresa, I too have little self control and a HUGE collection of Sue dies as proof of my weaknesses...I can think of many character flaws that are far worse than this though, most of which I also have in abundance!
Yvonne, my old mucker, how are you dear girl? I'm missing your barbed comments and sparkling wit these past days, hope you are okay and not suffering from post Christmas blues or excesses...I don't think we've heard from you since Jakes impromptu dinner invitation, was it a trip to a KFC drive thru and you are too ashamed to show your face? Don't be embarrassed, it's the thought that counts:-) hugs honeyxxx

  121. Good evening Sue and the Wilsonettes ,
Oh Sue I do love this card and although I don't have any of the dies to make it I am going to try it with other dies. The colour is gorgeous, in fact so much so that I have ordered up some of that iris coloured card as well as the wisteria and a packet of smoothies to play with, the colour scene just really took my eye today so just waiting on Joanna sending it out to me to have a play with.
Amazing what you can get done when you have no old man knarking at you every minute of the day, I have achieved more today with being back to my own way of doing things instead of him being on my back every minute of the day so I'm sorry flower that I haven't got in but I couldn't get a shot of a keyboard and screen with him being off.
Sending gentle hugs to all my lovely Wilsonettes that really could be doing with them
    Love and crafty hugs
