Flower Garden

Hello crafters!  I love this card, you may recall seeing it on my favourite cards from 2015 (it was shown during the blog launch for these dies).  The video will show you how to create a subtle background detail to use with your flowers.

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 1/2" in size.   All for now, Sue x

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, had a bad night sleep wise so I am a bit late this morning, it is very frosty indeed outside, I know the temperature dropped a lot in the night because our heating kicked in, anyway I waffle.......todays card is gorgeous, I live the use of the mask but also the outside stipe die you have used, it has a great effect to the card. Will watch the video in a minute when I eat my breakfast.

  70. Good morning Sue and the lovely Wilsonettes,
Sue this is a beautiful card for any kind of occasion or just to say Hi. I know of one gentleman and he truly is a gentle man who would love to receive this card as he loves flowers and his garden. The die you have usd to frame the flowers and sky shows off the picture to perfection. I love the blossoms that are getting blown in the wind from the embossing folder as it is just perfect backdrop for the flowers. Thank you Sue and another beautiful card and you do realise that i am going to have to save up now for these dies and embossing folder, lol. Have a wonderful day dear friend.
Tracey flower i only hope that your new lot of chemo doesn't bring too many side effects as you have been through so much already. I think all your Wilsonette friends are counting down your treatments along with you and until you are back to being your old self again but without the nasty that has invaded your poor body. Sending hugs to you flower just to keep you going.
Thank you everyone that has congratulated me one reaching my 25th anniversary, i personally think i should have had a gold medal waiting for me this morning, but no gold medal. I really think i deserve one of those for putting up with his crabbitness all these years. I will say that for the first time in years he didn't forget (since he thought out silver wedding anniversary was last year until i told him he was a year too early) i got a card and a present, silver knot earrings. I think Kirsten did that as he went to hers before coming home last night to sort her lock on her door. Reaching milestones like this makes you think back to what you have acheived over that period. I inherited a step daughter, had my daughter and son, gained a son in law and got a baby grandson. There are things that i could have done well without over the years like making friends with stairs, floors, pavements and roads, all of which i think i could have got along nicely without but i would never have found Sue's blog and found some of the loveliest people on this earth, so thank you everyone for making Sue's blog a place where friends meet and make new friends.
Sending hugs to all my Wilsonette friends that need them or could be doing with them,
    Lovea nd crafty hugs

Hi Sue, a lovely card (yes, I do remember seeing it and I'm not surprised it featured in your list of favourites) it helps us to remember that this cold weather will pass and summer will come again. I have the apple blossom die but not the frame so will have to try and concoct something from those I do have. I'm thinking maybe yellow or pale green for a different type of Easter card.

Tracy - hope the new chemo is going well and doesn't upset you so much.

Norah - Congratulations on your 25th Anniversary. I am so glad you received both a card and a present otherwise I would have suggested going with Diane's idea of a silver shovel lol. Enjoy the rest of your day.

  112. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

I'm commenting a little late today, I've had a really frantic day and things are only just starting to return to normal speed. So I haven't had time to watch the video but I will make a point of finding time tomorrow instead, something to look forward to...
Beautiful card, as always, reminds me of a window box in bloom, love the colours and the embossed background all framed perfectly- didn't feel impelled to buy the flower dies but this card has made me realise that I was rather hasty in my estimation...another few dies to add to my bulging list of requirements then:-)
I had a minor coronary episode this morning when, after charging overnight, my I pad refused to turn on!??! Panic stations! Considering it has to be surgically removed from the palm of my hand every time I charge it the thought of having to use my Macbook instead was horrifying. Luckily it's on contract so I took it to O2 for advice expecting it to be sent away for repair...then what do I do? No instant access to Sues blog etc, a fate worse than death! As I stood explaining the situation the assistant took my tablet and proceeded to turn it on instantly, feeling rather foolish I asked her what had been wrong and she said that it must have been a surge of energy and it just needed rebooted...well, at least my access to the blog is unaffected even if I do feel like a plank!
I love the newest gadgets but I'm a bit hit or miss with technology. I'm in the age range where computers took 45 mins to load a game making very high pitched squeaks in the process, things have moved on...just a fraction...I'm self taught and muddle my way through.
So Linda, when you asked for some photos of my furry babies I had to work out how on earth I was going to transfer pictures from Dropbox to Facebook- I didn't think I would manage but after a few aborted attempts I seemed to muddle my way through:-)
I told you they were beautiful, it's why they get away with murder. I wasn't exaggerating when I said that Brodie is very hands on in his participation in the Cardmaking process, he gives me a run for my money that's for sure:-)
Me?Talented? Not likely! I owe my designs to one lady and that is our mentor Sue....without her ideas and inspirAtion my cards would be mediocre at best, she's the talented one, not me I'm afraid. But I still thoroughly enjoy creating them and that's what counts:-)
Whoa, you really are psychic honey...and just a little bit scary!:-)
Norah, so pleased your hubby remembered your big day, hope you had a lovely timexxxx
Tracy, hope your new treatment went smoothly and that the side effects weren't as bad as expected. We're all counting down the days with you honey, almost therexxx
Yvonne, a haircut always makes me feel brighter, it can be like a facelift with a pair of scissors instead of a scalpel! Just saw your message on Facebook after a bit of rooting around...told you I was crap at this...don't worry, I'm not ignoring you, I just haven't had a minute to myself today, I'll message you back honey with my details but be warned...you're about to enter the dark side........xxx
Feeling tired my lovelies, usual hugs to all my buddies, Lorraine , Maria, Theresa, Rebecca, Beth,Wheely bad, Jan and everyone of you lovely ladiesxxx
