Best of Luck

Good Sunday morning all!  I embossed a piece of milk card with the Bed of Roses embossing folder.  I cut the Canadian Background out of taupe card and backed it with Mocha card.  I used the inner cutting die to cut the centre of the die out to create a frame.  I added mounting foam to the back.  I cut two of the Lattice and Lace Striplet in milk card using just the decorative die without the cutting edge.  I backed it in mocha card and placed the frame over the top of it.  I trimmed away the excess background from around the edge,  I cut the Montreal die in milk card and backed it with milk.  I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the oval from the set.  I cut a larger oval in Mocha card to mat it with and placed it in the centre of the card.  I pierced a milk card mat, then added a thin mocha mat and another milk card mat.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  9 1/4" in size.

Lovely card, have the EF and dies needed just lack the expertise. I tried cutting round the centre die with a craft knife to make the frame and it was a disaster, you would think it was easy to cut 4 straight lines!!!! I'll stick to cutting it as a whole and layering on top

Denise T, I hope your back is much better today.
I started cutting all my new dies yesterday and I had already forgotten just how many I had. I couldn't cut them all before my back started hurting so I had a rest and never got back to them as I was too tired. So planned to get there today but the cold has decided to arrive properly so I am feeling like a truck has run over me. I think I will hold off on spending any of my birthday money as it seems a bit silly to buy more dies when I already have so many. I am thinking of getting some card storage with the Amazon credit. It will need decorating so that will give me a project :)
Melody, it has been so long since we heard from you. I really hope it is not because things are bad with Francis. Love n hugs whatever. Also to Molly who is also missed.

  82. Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
THis could be a lovely card for either ladies that are not all that fussed about frills and bows and flowers or the wonderful other species in our lives that have been sent i think to drive us to distraction, MEN. The colours are just perfect for them but it makes me think of one of those funny coffee's that have the whipped cream on top with the sprinkling of what ever it is they use. I know that the lighter one of those is suppose to be grey but it looks like a soft pale latte colour, such a pretty colour and with the cream on top it looks lovely. Thank you Sue for a great card that could with a different sentiment to match the occassion be for a male definitely and or a female as it is a good card design for interrupting.
Well done to the 3 ladies that won a prize today for the comments, enjoy it when you receive it and Michele that is when you have the time to craft flower that you enjoy it although with your busy schedule i'm not sure when that is, lol. Have fun ladies.
Well we have snow on my lovely Ochil hills turning them into christmas puddings and as long as that is where it stays it can look as lovely as it likes. Although it has been damp through the night we have no rain at the moment which is wonderful as i think we are all fed up seeing it teeming down and not letting up. I hope that some of the water is dispersing that is lying as our friends and neighbours that are suffering because of it need a break just to be able to get back to normal and sort out their homes and businesses.
I am sending out hugs to all of our friends that are in need of one to help pick them up, let them know that someone cares or just because, they are here just waiting for the taking along with my prayers and thoughts for those that are fightign battles and trying so hard to win.
    Love and crafty hugs

  105. Good afternoon lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

How much do I love this card? Well, it simply can't be measured because it features one of my most favourite dies, my no.1 EF AND my most adored colour combination of cream and taupe, boy am I a happy bunny! Twice in as many days, Sue but you spoil us....and, having not had the finances of late to splash out on your newest release, I am doubly appreciative that you continue to showcase dies from previous collections. You have shown, yet again, the limitless possibilities of the Canadian background and how truly stunning the results are- like others have mentioned, it lends itself to both male and female card designs, I actually used it in these colours for my uncles 80 th birthday card and the results were very stylish.
I can imagine that you are enjoying yourself tremendously at the CHA now that they are well and truly open for business...I wonder if you find it equally tempting when viewing all the displays, personally I would quickly bankrupt myself in that situation:-)
All is quiet here for the time being, Darcey and Brodie are fast asleep...hardly surprising considering he had been wandering the house, jumping on our heads, pawing us for attention etc until 5am! My mum is out with my nephew and niece at McDonalds for lunch so I took the opportunity to do a little cross stitch- I'm still battling my way through a huge picture of our dear departed cats Gizmo and Dante, it's been six months in the making and I feel that I can't really get my teeth into it because of its size and complexity. I usually enjoy the process but I'm finding this one rather overwhelming.
Lorraine, sorry to hear that your cold has resurfaced with bells on, I do hope you managed to enjoy your birthday celebrations before it reared it's ugly head. I find it hard to compute the notion of having too many dies!??! I could NEVER have enough....sounds greedy but I have been assured that's it's a bona fide medical condition that compels me to buy more folders than me craftroom can comfortably house.....it's strictly a case of want not need, or in the case of Sues dies, both! Go on, splash out, be brave, I'm sure you'll enjoy letting loose your inner shopaholic, it can be very therapeutic:-)
Lynda, you poor soul, gum and tooth pain is chronically difficult to cope with, I do hope that the antibiotics kick in soon....just a shame you can't have a medicinal gin to ease the pain and discomfort:-)
Yvonne, a bit worried that we haven't heard from you since Jake took you out for a surprise meal...hope you are okay and not suffering from the experience, miss you you old reprobatexxx
Wheely Bad, hope you and Billy are okay too and you've not been hit by a migraine attackxxx
Melody, worried that things are tough with Francis, I do hope that you both are okay and just snowed under with the recent festivities
Special hugs to Beth, Tracy, Linda, Maria, Theresa, Jan, txcowgirl and Greg, Rebecca, hope you are okay too honeyxxx
Congrats to this weekends winners, enjoy your prizes ladiesxxx
