Hi bloggers! Need a pretty thank you card? I think this one will do the trick! I cut four Petite Arched Adornments in white and two corners from the Elegant Lace Edger die set and glued them in place, funnily enough the adornments in the corners and the corners on the edges! I cut a Lavish Accented Noble design frame and added mounting foam and secured it in the centre of the card. I cut the Vertical Thanks in white and cut the individual letters out of black gloss card and glued them behind. I added it into the centre of the frame and created five flowers to accent the corners. I stamped the Shaded Peony stamp in black on white card and cut them out with the matching Peony die shapes. I offset two dies for each flower and topped the centres with small black Dazzlers. I added Mosaic leaves and Dandelion clocks around as accents. I finished the card with a white pierced mat, a thin gloss back mat and a final white mat. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Morning all,
ReplyDeleteSuper card today Sue, I must remember to send thank you cards this year. It's a tradition that could do with reviving. I have loads of thank you cards left from when I demonstrated Stampin Up so I will use those but if I didn't have those then the die you used would be great.
Congratulations to the last of 2015's winners, enjoy your prizes.
I went to a Carol service last night and then we went up the pub and sang some more. Great fun and it meant I saw my best mate too.
Today I need to start the Christmas clean up, getting my daughter's belongings to her room will be a great help for a start.
Wishing good things to all xxx

Good Afternoon Sue,
ReplyDeleteHi Wilsonettes! What a beautiful card today, Sue. I really do love the b&w creations. I actually have the peony stamps and dies so it looks like I'm going to be able to play along even though I don't have the other dies...adapt, adapt, adapt :)
What a morning. I had to go to town to pick up some meds and would you believe that they only sent one lot through to the pharmacy! Of course, the ones they didn't send are the ones that run out on Saturday. I really can't face going down there again before Christmas so I may have to go a few days without them and go down before the new year. Of course I got soaked yet again...and the rain stopped when I got off the bus on the way home. It's still bitterly cold and blowing a gale though - nothing unusual for Truro lol. It was glorious yesterday with sunshine for most of the day If it hadn't been a Sunday I could have gone out and back and stayed dry for a change.
I think I'm as set for the weekend as I can be now and if I've forgotten anything then it's too bad. I'm on my own this Christmas for really the first time so I'm not exactly looking forward to it one little bit. At least I have my furry family with me so I won't be totally alone...they don't talk too much though lol.
Hugs and positive thoughts to all who need them.

Afternoon Sue,
ReplyDeleteMy apologies for being absent this last week, have been so busy with family meals and outings etc. not to mention shopping and present buying. My poor card is battered but now having a few days respite. I now have some 'me time' so can play catch up with all your last weeks posts.
Today's card is simply sublime, I'm not good at doing monochrome cards so I very much admire yours. You have such a knack at getting it right, whereas mine look like a splodge.
I'd like to say a very big 'Thank you' for all your posts this year, they have inspired me to think 'outside the edge' in some of my creations.
Have a very Merry Christmas with your family.
Love & hugs to all those in need of one, just open your arms and they will jump right into them,
Cheryl xxx

Good evening Sue,
ReplyDeleteMore monochrome... I feel like I'm being spoilt :) I do love those little configurations, there's just so much that can be done!
Thank you Sue for the beautiful cards you post each day, so many ideas and it's lovely to just look and go "Oooooh!". Especially when I consider how much time you spend travelling, you tube, designing, your tv commitments too. You are very generous to share so much- where do you find the time? Thank you for letting this be a place where your followers can share and support each other. Hugs to you and Mom from Billy and myself xxx
Tracy, hope you're feeling ok, hugs xxx
Melody, sending hugs to you and all the family xxx
Nannieflash, very best wishes for the cataract op on the 29th xxx
Bejay, your first Christmas alone must feel pretty daunting. I did one or two when I was younger. On my first I decided to have pizza for Christmas dinner lol, (classy, that's me!) Sadly this is before you could buy decent fresh pizza from the supermarket - had to add my own touches to a frozen one! Make sure you spoil yourself too. I will try my best to pop by the blog for a virtual visit. I'm sure your furry friends will make sure you'll be ok, hugs xxx
Lynda, special hugs from Billy and I to you, Annie, Bambi and Freddy xxx
Laine, Beth, Yvonne, hope you and anyone else not able to visit us are all ok, hugs xxx
Soon as the cleaner left this afternoon Billy and I shut the curtains, popped on the lights and left the wind and rain outside. We were both asleep til Mr W got home! Will be his garden time very soon and we'll both be back to sleep. I've got to make a birthday card for my sister and one for my little niece tomorrow as well as wrap more presents (or at least Mr W's present- he can then help with the rest when he's off on Wednesday!). Luckily we see family in 3 batches over 5 days so we don't have to do them all at once.
That's me then, sending hugs and happiness to everyone. Plenty of extra hugs for anyone for any reason,
T x
