Hello bloggers! Today's video uses the asymetrical Lynx gemini die and just shows a different way that it can be used to create a pretty edge. It is just a simple card that can be used for so many occasions too so that is an added extra bonus!

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, todays card is stunning, absolutely stunning, love it, as you say it can be used for any occasion - it is one that you can make loads of but leave the top embellishments and add these later, even for a mans card, you could add a die or topper to reflect that persons likes, well that is my thinking anyway.

I particularly love the way you can cut into the leaf sprays to add to your cards and that includes the stars and holly from your Christmas collections. Talking of your collections I've preordered more from your next launch (SET Haverfordwest have such amazing bundle offers it would be rude not to lol!), the next launch is perfectly timed with my birthday. This is just amazing. I love the little pop of colour on the flowers.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful card. I especially like the hint of colour on the flowers as they trail up the card. This month is a 'no craft spending ' one as I need some spending money for my holiday in three weeks and the laurel leaf die is the only one I have, so I will have to see if I can replicate using what I have. It won't look as good but the ideas are worth remembering. I hope the wisteria card eventually comes as one colour in a mixed pack as I would love a few sheets of this colour.

ReplyDeleteWOW...I'm almost lost for words. This is the most exquisite card and I've instantly fallen in love with it. I just wish I had the dies to be able to have a go at making it...stunning!
Woke up in the very early hours this morning thinking there was a thunder storm...turned out to be gale force gusting wind and rain...another day in 'sunny' Cornwall lol. My sister moved across country to Spalding yesterday so I hope she didn't take this weather with her or it won't be too nice for the removal men to unload this morning.

Laine, I wish you didn't have so many health issues to deal with but you just keep proving what a strong person you are. I am full of admiration for you. I totally agree with you about needing all of Sue's dies but don't have the funds to go with that need.
Oh Melody, if only all our good wishes could have a concrete effect on Francis' health. He would be fighting fit by now. Please try and take care of yourself too. It must be so hard seeing the man you love suffering so much. Huggles to you all.
I think my day out is catching up on me as I am really sore today. My lovely Mum brought me two of Sue's die sets to borrow so I will finish of my paper pieced card later on.

ReplyDeleteWow!! I love this card and I can do a similar version with the Lyra die as I was lucky enough to win the scribble flowers and I have the iced snow, so thank you for the inspiration and great video as always.
So jealous of everybody going to the NEC, I wish I could go to one of these big craft fairs. Hopefully I can get my hubby to take me the NEC next time, he does spoil me when we go out anywhere.
I'm hoping I'll have the energy to go to Liverpool's St George's Hall tomorrow for remembrance Sunday to pay my respects at the service and this year they have got those amazing poppies that were at the Tower in London. My Hubby will be marching as usual, I'm so proud of him I actually want to burst with pride when he marches past. I hope my fibro pain will be good to me so I can go.
