Finishing Touches

Welcome back bloggers!  I am showcasing three new additions to the Finishing Touches range in this blog post.  Shown here, is the new Diagonal Foldover Flower.  These have been specifically designed to use with felt to make beautiful floral additions to your projects, but you can use lightweight card and paper as well.  One of my new videos will also show you how to make a clever border with this die too so it is extra useful!  The Classic Vase and the Catkin Stems are ever so useful as well and look great with some of the Finishing Touches from today's final post.  Leave a comment as we draw three names from this post to cover each of the dies on offer!  The last post for today and the blog launch will be up at 4pm, don't be late! LOL  All for now, Sue x

  65. Hi Sue
The penultimate posting in this fabulous launch and it's a beauty. The catkin stems stood out as soon as I saw your new dies. So different and cannot think of anything else available that is like them. I can see the gorgeous rose garden striplet which has just got to come and live with me. I don't mind you sending me any of the new dies when you draw my name. I'm really not fussy Sue. After all, when someone (me)loves you as much as I do, I am happy to trust your judgement and will accept whichever die you decide to let me win. As I mentioned earlier, my love for you will grow (if that is at all possible) when I do win x
Lorraine -take it easy hun. I will try an be nice to you whilst you are feeling a little fragile but please do not let it lull you into a false sense of security. Things will return back to normal very soon. Rest up - sending you a big hug x
Pat L - you treat yourself - throw caution to the wind - go for it x
Johanna - I echo your thoughts. I am so saddened that my boys do not share my love of literature. They can read and I tried my utmost when they were little to encourage them to read. Every evening we had a bed time story and we participated in so many library activities but I think my enjoyment of all things books far out weighed theirs. Maybe it was overkill on my part as sadly this has not something that has stayed with them. I get so excited and involved when reading and miss this so much now I am unable to participate, as I did, in what is in my opinion one of life's pleasures x
All for now ladies. Have a lovely few hours until we all come back for the final post in this magical launch.

  68. Hi Sue

The card is awesome!! Love these dies. I'd love to win anything from you, I do hope I'm still allowed in the draw living in Australia. I emigrated from the UK 10 years ago and buy your dies from the UK on a regular basis (usually every launch and then in between..... - whoops don't tell the hubby!!!) They are not easily available here yet - plus unfortunately the exchange rate makes them very expensive over here.

I just want to say, thank you for your inspiration and showing us how to use your dies to their full potential in your videos. I visit your blog daily and love to see the different designs you do. You are firmly set into my daily routine!!

Keep doing what you do Sue, you are unique and we all love your work!!!

    Warmest regards

  89. Hello Sue.

I'm really surprised how different The Diagonal Foldover Flower looks. The Vase is so lovely and I am looking forward to seeing the Catkins used, I love catkins and haven't seen any in a long time. It has reminded me of a poem I learnt at school (probably about 6 yrs old) a long time ago, which I would like to add, I'm sure many others will know it.

    I know a little Pussy.
    Her coat is silver grey.
    She lives down the meadow.
    Not very far away.
    Although she is a Pussy.
She will never be a Cat.
    Cos she's a Pussy Willow.
Now what do you think of that?

    Best wishes

  134. Happy Saturday to Everyone!
This card is stunning-particularly lovely! I've purchased some felt of the quality you recommend, but don't have any of the fold over dies (was planning on doing it the old fashioned way, but haven't mustered the courage to give it a try). Perhaps if I were to win? Lol! Love the catkin stems as well, never seen any other dies like them which is surprising because many companies have branches, twigs, flowers etc, but none of these and they would be quite useful. Leave it to Sue and she'll do it up right! We call them pussy willows here (US) - I rather prefer the name catkins. I like the little poem you shared Lynn D :o)
(As an aside, the afore-mentioned companies have lost out on my purchases since I became aware of you! Your designs are far superior in my book!)
The vase could also be a fishy on its side (a very elegant fishy)!
Oh I just got notification of the next post! I'm off to see what beauties are shown on the last of this wonderful launch! Rebecca in Colorado

  144. Hi Sue,
I've just come back from craft club after making a card with your dies and the cloud inks and the texture pastes. Think I need more practise with the texture pastes & stencils lol.
These dies are gorgeous and the card you have made is also.
All of your designs are stunning. Fingers crossed I win one. But on my to get list.
Love them, off to look at the next one.

  165. Hi Sue, another gorgeous card. The diagonal foldover flowers look so different from the other foldover flowers die that I have. You are so very talented and the design of your dies is second to none. So much more thought goes into them than other companies. I have so many of your dies and starting to run out of space but that won't deter me from adding to my every growing collection.

  196. Good Evening Sue and the lovely Wilsonettes,

What an absolutely stunning card, really love the felt flower, it is just so effective and your technique with the Art Deco style rose striplet is very eye catching. You have really excelled yourself with the variety and versatility of this launch, congratulations on a job well done.
Still feeling a bit ropey this evening, had unexpected visitors until early evening so didn't get the quiet 'me time' I wanted:-(
Nevermind, I'll be back to my cheeky self tomorrow so don't run amok in my absence....you know who you are!xxxx
