Finishing Touches

Hi bloggers!  Well this is the final day of the blog launch, but there are three posts today which will showcase the nine new Finishing Touches range.  Starting with the Scribble Flowers, shown here, they are a wonderfully whimsical set that will add just the right accent for your cards.  The new Scribble Flowers are finely cut layered flowers that can be used flat or raised for a totally different look.  The Laurel leaves have also been used as accents on the card shown.  I'm sure you will be able to find so many uses for them as well.  I do hope that you have been adding your comment along to each of the blog posts as you go, but you do have a few days to get caught up on any you may have missed along the way!  The next blog post is scheduled for 12 noon today, so please be sure to have a peek then!  All for now, Sue x

  23. Hi Sue & Lovely Wilsonettes

Sue, these finishing touches are striking & very elegant & are sure to grace any card with their charm & versatility. Thank you for sharing your beautiful card which although has minimal additions it does however make a very impactive statement which again would be a perfect card for posting without skimping on the quality of the design itself. X x x

I would like to apologise my friends with regards to the fact that I have not been able to read through all of the sheer number of comments over the last few days but I would like to sincerely thank each & every one of you my dear friends for your very kind comments on Sue’s poem Love ‘n’ (((HUGS))) x x x

English was my forte at school; I learnt to read the Janet & John Books (not giving my age away; Lol) & other books at the age of 3 that I should have been reading between the ages of 5-7. In fact this ability to advance read & write was the reason I was sent to school at the tender age of 4 in the November just a few short days after my 4th birthday, but on my first day they had thought I had gone missing, they checked the building inside out, called the police, you name it. But guess where I was, Hee Hee - In the play corner of the classroom there was a red & yellow tent like Wendy house which I had crawled into & had fallen asleep & when I stepped out of there rubbing my eyes & crying to go home my teacher hugged me so tight with relief you’d have thought they were worried; Lol. Sadly though with the ME I can no longer read & write with as much concentration x

REBECCA; this is a message for you my friend – my Tutor once told me that to write a good poem “you have to let your mind wander – then write down the words/lines as & when they come to you – it doesn’t matter that they appear jumbled & out of place at this stage because when you have finished scribbling (which can take hours, days weeks, months even) then it’s time to make a line from the scribbled words & then rearrange the lines into their rightful place – to make them flow with a beginning, a middle & an end & a poem can be anywhere from 2 lines through to a 100+ & it doesn’t even have to rhyme just so long as it has a rhythm. Well for 10 days I wandered (thank fully not outside in my silk PJ’s; Lol) I completed the poem but didn’t have the courage to share for 2 weeks until now. Believe me my friends I had no intention of upstaging Sue’s fantastic launch (no bribery intended; Lol) my heart just said go for it – it’s now or never.

So Rebecca – please have more FAITH in yourself & your abilities, so put your thinking cap on & write that poem of yours, we wait in eager anticipation; it will be your achievement & I’m sure it will be fabulous, it will come from your heart & most of all Sue, especially, & your friends here will appreciate it & the thought that has gone into it. I for one love reading your comments & can see that you have fast become a fully fledged member of the Wilsonette family. x x x

Well my friends as mentioned my brain is on a go slow at the moment so if I have missed any congratulations needed, then I send them with love ‘n’ (((HUGS))) & I send love ‘n’ (((HUGS))) to you Sue, to my friends & to all our fabulous Wilsonettes. Take care to one & all & Sue I sincerely wish you a fun time on Hochanda tonight & tomorrow & for one shall be glued to watching your demos whatever the products because your demos with hints & tips are worth their weight in gold Beth B x x x

  26. Hi Sue.
I just adore all these finishing touches they help add the final wow element to all our cards and other projects whether it be cards, mdf projects or home decor.
Thanks to you, I now have the background knowledge and the tools to make quite a nice large wedding card, without Particraft, your wonderful dies and tutorials I'd probably still be making the 'rubbish ' cards I thought we're great 2 years ago, but now wouldn't even give them away lol ! I'm certain that I'm not alone when I say that thanks to you and your stunning dies my work has changed beyond all recognition.
I will try and pop in when and if I can after our long journey to the south west corner of the map.
In the meantime - Congratulations on another very successful collection. Thanks for the past few days and most of all THANK YOU for your wonderful generosity. GOOD LUCK on your first appearance on HOCHANDA and I'm hoping that nothing changes to your schedule that will message up my recording times !!!
Have a wonderful day Sue (hope your man has the pizza ready for later ) : )

  37. Morning Sue,
I have just finished my second week in my new job with Guide Dogs for the Blind and, as I now leave home at 7.30am and don't return till 6.30pm at the earliest I have been too busy or tired to go on the computer in the evening this week. Am now playing catch up and was very excited to find myself this morning in the middle of a new blog launch. I have been like a kid in a candy shop rushing from post to post to see what's new! As usual, I have not been disappointed and there are so many gorgeous new designs. Unfortunately pay day is still over a fortnight away so will have to sit on my hands for a while yet! Off to catch up with all the posts properly now. x

These are wonderful additions! The scribble flowers look delicate & cute. The string flowers are very appealing to me as well, I'm eager to see them used. The laurel leaves should be standards in everyone's stash! Like others have said, these little bits can be, well The Finishing Touches that take a card from great to wowza!
Beth B, thank you for your words of encouragement, I shall remember them and jot down the random lines that come to me - without feeling the pressure to create an entire poem right then & there! I'm so very glad you took the chance and shared your poem with us! It is a lovely tribute indeed. Inspired & inspiring!
I'll be checking back after my sweet slumber for the next post! I'm sad I won't be able to watch you Sue on Hochanda. I can get on the website but I think it might be rude of me to pause my visit with my Uncle so I can watch you! Since its on their website, I can't record to watch later. Hopefully they'll air them again and even tho I won't be able to take part in the specials, I'll be able to enjoy your demonstrations! Your videos are always so instructive!
I was hoping to catch up on everyone's posts from the last few days, but I am too tuckered out to see straight. Stick a fork in me-I'm done!

  186. Morning Sue
I so love flowers - can never have too many flowers. And these are a got to really want must have. What a gorgeous card. So pretty. These dies have my name all over them Sue. I just have to add them to my collection. Can you imagine how much I would love you if you draw my name? I don't think you can. Well if you let me win we can find out. Good luck with your shows - sooooooooo excited x
Theresa - I always behave but I have my doubts as to whether or not Thelma knows the meaning of the word. How could we fail to smile with such a fabulous launch from our Sue. I thought that going down the bribery route might not be advisable. Trying a different strategy. Declaring my undying love for our great leader every time I comment on her blog. I need to step it up a notch as it is the last day. We will just have to wait and see if it has worked x
Lorraine - I think you may have come up with something. There has always been a market for classic cars so surely there must be a market for a couple of mature ladies. Granted the body work may need some attention and a lot of patience required but I am sure there must be demand for what we have to offer. We definitely need to find an original way to raise some funds to finance our addiction. I blame Sue. If she wasn't so brilliant we wouldn't have to consider any wild and wacky ideas, legal or otherwise to enable us in our pursuit of happiness.
That said Sue - you are still my most favourite person and I love you dearly - when will you be doing the draw? I would just like to point out that whatever Lorraine decides to tell you she is always terribly economical with the truth and she does not love you more than I do x
Wheely Bad - oh girl - have you calmed down yet? x
Beth B - I think the inability to concentrate and read is one of the things that I find the most exasperating about the ME. I have such a passion for a good book and used to read 1 or 2 books a week. Now I struggle to read a chapter. Your ode was brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing. I think your lack of confidence was unfounded as is evident from all the lovely feed back. I do find that my self confidence has taken a bit of a nose dive over the last few years and it got worse when I became ill. I have been known to put pen to paper and compose a poem for friends and family for birthdays and special occasions. However - they are a little more x rated than would be allowed on this blog! Lol. I am well accomplished at lowering the tone when the mood requires x
Rebecca -you need to try and plan your trips more carefully. I do think there are repeats on Hochanda so it's not all bad x
Pat - could I suggest a nice meal for hubby laced with sedatives? Lol x
Patricia, Maureen and Pat L - HAPPY BIRTHDAY x
    All for now
    Back at 12
    Have a lovely day everyone
    Crafty hugs

  187. Good morning Sue and the lovely Wilsonettes,

Aww, how sad that we have reached the final day of the blog launch, but yeah! We can console ourselves with Sues appearances on Hochanda, what a treat!
Words cannot express just how much I love the Finishing Touches range and these dies are no exception. They are showcased quite beautifully on this stunning card, the soft blue, black and coconut white are so fresh together and the butterfly striplet is a real must have. The scribble flowers are gorgeous and perfectly accented by the laurel leaves- I can't wait to see what you have in store for the other set of flowers too.
I am counting down the hours till your show tonight, so the remaining blog posts will be a welcome distraction.
My bank balance is in desperate need of a large cash injection so my credit card will be having a quiet night I'm afraid, but that will in no way spoil my enjoyment of tonight's proceedings, I can't wait to see your demos Sue, it will give us plenty of ideas for those pesky Christmas cards that are looming large on the horizon.
Had a tough night last night with a seizure but starting to feel a touch human again...or as normal as a bam pot can possibly be:-)
So, going to have a quiet day between posts completing a box for my Mums birthday card- I can't help myself with the glitter, flowers and ribbon cos I have to make the box as extravagant as the card inside...it's a sickness , I know!
Happy birthday to Patricia, Pat L and Maureen, enjoy spending your monetary gifts on Sues showsxxxxxHave a fab day girlsxxxx

    Love and crafty hugs,

    Laine1972xxxxx

Good Day to you all, well what can i say only WONDERFUL, you have done it again Sue, giving us such a brilliant week in crafting with your glorious dies and cards and today's are no exception, they are beautiful and so is the card. Congratulations Sue for another Spectacular Launch and looking forward to tonights show on Hochanda and tomorrows shows as well.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our birthday girls Patricia, Maureen, and Pat L, enjoy your day.
I can remember going nursery when i was 18 months old and I was well ready for school at 4yrs and I too could read and write then, I adored reading and got myself a little Saturday job in our local library when I was 11yrs old , I absolutely loved it. I think it such a dreadful crime that children are leaving school not being able to read and I made sure all my grandchildren could read as well as they could. many hugs to all and Good Luck Everybody Johanna
