ReplyDeleteI must admit I've seen your video tutorial for this one and am in love with this die set and love the card.
I already have the border corner and tag set, the lattice snowflake die goes beautiful with it.
I'm going to have to get a big storage case for all your Christmas dies as at the moment they are all lined up on my shelf in my craft area, that is apart from the two sets I bought yesterday and the frosty swirls embossing folder, Also I now have to get the beautiful holly swirl folder I saw you use the other day.
I need them all lol.

This would also make a clean and simple card as well as a more detailed card that requires a box rather than an envelope. ReplyDeleteLove it. Could be my favourite but then I say that every time. The colours on this card are so gorgeous and really make the dies pop. Sunday, sun and Sue - how perfect. What more do I need?
So the boys returned from their shopping spree and as they took a while outside before coming in the house I waited nervously wondering what was going to come through the door. First came the rug - neutral and plain - good choice. Then there was the blind - wooden - will match the other décor perfectly. The shelves were the next thing through the door - plain wooden ones. Next was the fridge - yes that's right - a fridge. I was half expecting a fitted kitchen to be the next thing but to my relief the last item was some Ikea tea lights which I had asked them to get me. I only wanted 1 packet but I got 5! They should keep me going for a while. I am a bit of a candle fanatic but even by my standards 5 packets is a little excessive. I am now wondering if the shed is being turned into a retirement home. I'm not yet 50 but maybe the boys are planning ahead x
Diane - so proud of my boys. We have had a difficult few years and they are such a blessing - even if they do drive me mad sometimes. I did oreo brownies and yes they are yum although I was diagnosed with coeliac disease a couple of years ago so haven't done them for a while as I can't eat them. Here's one for you - crème egg brownies. Crème eggs are gluten free and I can make gluten free brownies. If you can get hold of crème eggs give them a go. Crème eggs need to be stuck in the freezer beforehand x
Lorraine - my son is capable and rather handsome if you please! How could he be anything else? Fabulous blue eyes and a very wicked sense of humour. Make me an offer and if the price is right he's yours. Shouldn't you be staying away from cheesecake after yesterdays breakfast fiasco? x
Maria - they do call it a man cave. I have always had delusions of grandeur and think that from this moment on the shed will now be referred to as The West Wing! By the time the boys have finished with their soft furnishings and accessories it will be a suitable dwelling for the characters in Downton Abbey. Our nearest Ikea is Croydon x

ReplyDeleteJust a quickie from me for this post as I have to make myself presentable for my day out of indulgence.
Wowzers! This is by far my favourite die and card so far-I adore everything about it, the colour, the pearl drops, the snowflake dies, the composition...everything! This will be my first official Christmas card this year, I have a head start with the corner, border, tag die, my first purchase and this new die will be my next this very week. A friend. Of mine does simple mat and layering cards for her church but we have arranged to do some Sue cards for her special loved ones after her holidays in September-she thinks that they will be beyond her but I have assured her that once you break them down that they are very achievable because we will have such a good teacher!
I will read through everyone's comments later on after my cheesecake expedition- my stomach has fully recovered from yesterday's breakfast incident and I have had my usual yoghurt and cereal bar in preparation for my later excesses. It's a lovely sunny day in Stirling, our THIRD in row would you believe, so I might be brave and don a summer dress for the occasion....I'll take a brolly to err on the side of caution though, it is Scotland after all:-)

I was not sure about this die when I first saw the picture of it but, having seen this beautiful card I can see the possibilities. The colour combination for a Christmas card is unusual but stunning. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteLovely card as always. I like these smaller dies. U can either keep them this size for smaller cards or mix and match with ur other collections to make a larger card. Either way it's a win win for me.

This shade of blue would not be a colour that I would choose (before I have seen your card), I certainly would use it now, once I have seen what a beautiful card you have made.

Hi Sue, sorry I am a bit late but I got Windows 10 installed today and have had problems with my router, now sorted. I simply love this 'Let it snow' die, it can be used with the surround or without, and the font is so lovely, brilliant. I love the card you have made too.

ReplyDeleteI love the card. I also love this die set. I feel it could be easily used all year round too. Simply snip or hide the snowflakes with flowers. I seem to be drawn to ovals too, I think they always look elegant.

ReplyDeleteWell this die set could make the clean and dsimple cards that sometimes we have to make no bother at all Sue, but it can also be vamped up to create wonders like you have today. I must say that as for Christmas borders oh boy do i LOVEEEEE the snowflake sparkle border die set as it enhances your cards fantastically. It just adds that beauty to the cards and with this little centre piece, just a beautiful card is created. Thank you Sue for our wonderful wonder of wilson once more as you bring pure JOY to an awful lot of us that i don't think you will ever realise with your beauty and talent. Hope you are having a great time designing once more across with your beloved mum, with special hugs being sent her way.
