ReplyDeleteMy favourite from yesterday was Joy to the world. I love it! But it may well be overtaken by this mini striplet. It is such a pretty die and as you say goes well with the holly embossing folder. I can imagine using this die again and again. Best wishes, Anne O
Morning Sue. What a beauty to start the day. I have to admit that i have all your striplet die's and i love them all as you can do so much with them they are so versatile. So i will have to have this one. Watched your poinsettia video where you paper pieced the back of the poinsettia striplet with the red card and this one remind's me of that card. This is a simple and elegant card and another one to try. Will be back at noon to see what you are going to tempt us with.

I missed out on the final two of yesterday's launch and cards as I had a reaction to my injection and slept from my last comment at 3 until 6ish and was still 'woozy' thereafter, me being me wouldn't go back and comment on those I didnt get to see at the time they went 'live' that's just how I am, but they were two beautiful dies and samples.
ReplyDeleteToday's sample is delightful and will go so well with the new holly EF which I noticed at my craft shop the last time a couple of dies followed me home lol.
I so look forward to the next sample and die at 12. I did see a star burst smiling from behind a pointessa bouquet yesterday and cant wait to see that used again.

ReplyDeleteOk, this new striplet is my favourite so far in this launch. Of course that could all change at 12. This card is simple and understated and perfection. I am a sucker for a striplet.
Was it yesterday that you said ask and you shall receive!? Well I am asking, no I am begging - on bended knee and with an incredibly pained and desperate look on my face - please can we have a mini striplet, or 2, or even 3 in a future non festive launch? How can you refuse me when I have asked with such conviction? x
Lorraine - I need to think about Theresa - it appears that she could be a little difficult to control and will need to ask for references as I am gravely concerned as to where her loyalties may lie. To have such a disruptive element in our midst could cause terrible conflict. Lol x
In case anyone is interested - I am terribly ashamed to admit that I was defeated by my Eton Mess last night. I assembled said delight with great enthusiasm. Ingredients - home made mini meringues made with 6 egg whites (in other words - a lot). 600ml double cream - lightly whipped. 800g British Strawberries (Marks and Spencer don't you know)! It was lovingly and gently mixed in the largest bowl I could find. I then proceeded to wade my way through the mountain of delight with enthusiasm and a sense of duty in the hope that I may even break the world record for the most Eton Mess consumed in one sitting. Sadly - when I reached the stage where I was so full - a feeling mainly reserved for after Christmas dinner - I had to surrender. My head was telling me to carry on but my tummy was telling me that if I indulged further then there could be some rather messy consequences. My mouth was obviously in agreement with my swollen belly as it just refused to open when another spoonful of Eton Mess came anywhere near it. It was at this point that I allowed two 17 year olds and a 23 year old to indulge and polish off the small amount that was left.
I thought I would share this as I know many of you would have been wondering if I had managed to achieve my goal and would have been able to think of nothing else last night. I appreciate your concern x

As For a favourite from yesterday my heart says the Noel die (love the swirls) but my head says Happy Christmas as I would probably use it more! However this striplet is the all out favourite so far! ReplyDeleteBeing a Striplet I knew this die would be gorgeous and I am not disappointed! The card is beautiful and I think this die is going to be top of my list along with the Happy Christmas sentiment.
We have sun at the moment but hiw long it will last I do not know.
In the past couple of days I think we have had more rain than the past few months! The gardens were crying out for rain as the soil was like rock!

ReplyDeleteI do like this die and can see it will be very useful for those quick cards, especially as I already have the embossing folder. My favorite from yesterday .... too difficult to choose, I need them all, but if I could only have one it would have to be Silent Night. It is so elegant and while being testefully understated says it all. Looking forward to 12 noon till then LOL Happy Christmas Crafter.

Hi Sue, having bought all three striplets from the previous launch I didn't think I would want/need another one and to be honest it doesn't look all that much in the packaging, but seeing what you have created from this die I know I need it so onto the list it goes. Like Mrs Duck, my list is also now of wallpaper proportions!

ReplyDeleteI did not have one favourite from yesterday, I had two !! (To be honest I loved them all !!) I really love the Happy Christmas die and I could see myself using it a lot but my other favourite is the Joy to the world die. I think it is fab Sue !! And great for batch cardmaking just how you have made it, Adorned with some beautiful Poinsettia's, some snowflakes, or Holly and ivy leaves. I always get such fantastic inspiration from you Sue. ReplyDeleteThis is officially my favourite die thus far, though the competition has been typically fierce! I love this card , it so elegant with just the right pop of colour to accentuate the intricacy of the die...lovely!
I did love the Noël and happy Christmas dies in particular yesterday but I will need to add them all to my long, long list of must haves, wouldn't want to be accused of having favourites now would I?
I've had a small change of plan for today, no caci treatment due to an unforeseen bout of sickness earlier this morning-it must have been Yvonne's tales of eating her own body weight of Eton Mess that overwhelmed me....or perhaps it was the massive piece of cheesecake that I decided to have for breakfast instead of my usual yoghurt & cereal bar, who can tell but I think I'll be kinder to my constitution for the rest of the day and stay clear of my sweetie drawer tonight!
Think I might take it easy today and maybe attempt to make some stick pins-I've had Sues kit for a while and didn't have the gumption to give it a go but it beats doing housework or watching Saturday afternoon tv! I'm trying to avoid torturing myself on the internet until I get visitation of our credit card next week....ooh what to buy next there's just too much choice!
