Filigree Holly

Hi bloggers and welcome back!  The eagle eyed among you will have spotted this die on the previous post's card.  Here is the Filigree Holly die in all it's glory though.  Doesn't it make a beautiful wreath as well as an added extra embellishment?  If you would like to be included in this drawing, simply leave me a comment on this post.  If you have never left a comment before but would like to, the directions are on the right hand side of my blog.  It is very easy to do, I just ask that you add a bit extra to your name during these die launches as I only have one set of each die to give away.  If you add an initial or a funny alias or the city where you live (ie, Jean in Newcastle) or something like that, then there isn't any confusion when it comes to claiming the winning dies.  The last post for today will be up at 4pm so please join us back here then, won't you?  All for now, Sue x

  45. Afternoon Sue
I have run out of words to describe how beautiful your cards are. Loving all of these just as much as each other. I had spotted the holly on your 6am card and it goes so well with the mini striplet, once again demonstrating how brilliant you are and the versatility you give us. You are a genius.

I have not had a chance to read other peoples comments yet. I have 2 lifeless 17 year old boys in my front room which has thrown my routine out slightly. This is the consequence of staying up to play on the x box until 6am. My 23 year old has just completed a shed building project at the bottom of the garden. I say shed but use the term loosely as it has been plastered, painted, carpeted, has skirting boards and integrated spotlights. It is lovely to know that Jake (my 23 year old) has his priorities right and he has put a 42 inch telly on the wall, the x box is installed and to finish it off there is a surround system in said shed!! So I suppose you could describe last nights x box marathon - in the shed - as the opening ceremony. Even Jake admitted defeat at 2.30am and left the youngsters to carry on playing a game which involved guns and shooting until 6. I really don't like these modern forms of entertainment - whatever happened to pacman?!

Anyway I have spent the morning planning my next marathon food stuffing contest. I'm thinking Bailey's and white chocolate cheese cake - Yes Lorraine - right back at you. Lol x

Intending to catch up on comments at some point but until then enjoy the afternoon until 4pm when we will have another little gem to tickle our fancy

  102. Good afternoon Sue and fab Wilsonettes,

Aahh, that's where the embellishment from the 6am card came from, I see that I am not alone in wondering if it had been cut from the gorgeous striplet but it is all clear now. I particularly like the mask design and texture paste background it adds a different dimension to the proceedings. You take an embellishment and create a thing of beauty which I would never have had the foresight to try, what would we do for ideas without you stretching our imaginations! Looking forward to 4pm, not long to wait.
Well, my tummy is slowly recovering but Yvonne, your talk of Baileys cheesecake comes at a time when I would rather forget about my favourite dessert...well, until tomorrow anyway. Jake sounds very talented, I wish I was 20yrs younger cos I appreciate a man who is good with his hands. However, like Theresa says, it would be far better utilised as a storage container for all the SW merchandise we are about to procure-and it would make a lovely campaign headquarters for BCAS for our inaugural meeting, we could stream YouTube demos on the plasma tv whilst eating your baking and sipping Prosecco, ahhh, I can see it now.
Theresa, subject to approval of your references I would be delighted to see you on the committee, particularly if you could also provide home baked refreshments-you will of course be required to sample each product first through fear of sabotage and poisoning!
Off to see what Sue has in store at 4pmxxx

  160. Great to have something that will work for both modern and traditional styles of card.
Holly leaves must be one the most versatile Christmas images, it can be cut many times and used to make a wreath as a focal point or just used as accent pieces that then work with any Christmas stamp or die used as a topper.
