Hi there crafters! I know it is a bit of a surprise to have a video on Saturday, but we are hoping to catch up a bit. So I hope you don't mind if we have some Saturday viewings for the next several weeks! Today's card is a beautifully clean and simple design using gloss card for a very sharp style to the background. ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely tone on tone idea, gloss and matt are definatly perfect partner's and it really does show how pretty the stamp is. As Ive mentioned before, I have no stamps that match your dies but always admired how pretty they are together, so maybe its time I save up and get a few, but so many dies Id like to catch up with. I cant believe there are two dies hiding away somewhere for my anniversary gift and have 4 days still to wait 3 if you dont count today) lol roll on 16th when I am reunited with these dies, it was SO hard to pass the package over to Mr Lancashire when the postman delivered them : / never mind not too long to wait I suppose.

Haven't got any glossy black card or the stamps but have all the other ingredients for this.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise I've won the Wednesday card, and the sentiment is so appropriate (thinking of you) Unfortunately it is a bittersweet moment as I have just heard that my dear sister-in-law died in her sleep last night...she was only 62!
However she would be just as pleased for me that I had won. THANK YOU ladies for all your congrats and good wishes, you are a lovely bunch!

I've been getting tired before I've had the chance to comment! Tired now but awake so I should feel sleepy at the right time tonight for a good nights sleep and be up tomorrow in good time. Have a few crafty tasks that are getting on for 2 months overdue so plan is to get one of those at least started. I think some distraction would help the pain levels so I will work out how to spend short periods up the table tomorrow and still get things done. I have been able to do my charity knitting while I've been laid up so the time hasn't completely gone to waste.

Really like this card, Sue, nice colouring and extra subtlety with the micro beads and - whilst don't normally go for it - gloss card here works so well. Love the striplet used as a background. Altogether a great card. Forced myself to watch ha ha and enjoyed the extra video!! Thank you. Keep them rolling.

Also just to thank you for Thursdays amazing card and video to !! I thought this card was truly amazing using the letterpress technique and embossing the frame with gold embossing powder !! What a fantastic idea that I had never thought of doing before. The weaving is brilliant. I really need to get a weaving die as I do not have any of them yet. They are definitely moving up my wish list now.
I finally managed to get the Classic Adorned Square dies and I love, love, love them !! They are fab !! I am mixing both of your Noble Square Die sets to make two Father's Day cards and a get well soon card at the moment. I have got my Polished Silk Glitters out and am busy playing and experimenting with them. Your dies are fab Sue and they do all the work !! Thank you for all your inspiration Sue. Hi Sue my apologies for being late too...haven't had a chance to watch the video yet as hubby still in bed but will catch up later....as for the card Sue I love it simply because it is so different...another masterpiece Sue and yet another new and fantastic way to use our dies...I can see this with a different form of stamping being the perfect card for a mle...as for the video...again...thank you so much for sharing with us...what a lovely surprise to see one for Saturday.

ReplyDeleteUh oh! Another die to add to my wish list (actually, I should just ask for a printout of every Sue Wilson product made and check them off one by one! I believe I want them all! Not sure wher to get the black glossy, and have to come up with a substitute for the quilted striplet. I don't have the stamp either, but some patterned paper should do nicely- I couldn't make up my mind on the card I need to make today- but this lovely video sealed the deal!
