Beautiful Day

Hi bloggers!  I have a real romantic looking sort of card for today's offering.  In it's very soft blush and white tones and filigree dies, it just has that sort of feel to me.  I started by cutting the Pavo Gemini  die three times out of coconut white card and using just the bottom cutting edge with it.  I stacked them on top of each other for a petticoat effect.  For the focal element, I used the Portuguese Sintra die in the back, cut out of white card.  I stamped my sentiment and used the inside die in the same set to cut it out.  I inked it lightly with Tattered Rose distress ink before removing it from the die.  I mounted it with foam in the centre.  I created two flowers using the Complete Peony die set and some decorative paper from my stash.  It had a soft streaky line pattern to it and I thought it would look lovely in the flower die cuts.  I used the Dandelion Clocks for the very centre of the flowers and inked them in a Scattered Straw ink.  I seated one of the flowers on a double bow tied from Sideshow Rose Stain ribbon.  I placed the other flower diagonal on my focal element.  The card was completed with a white pierced mat, a thin blush mat and a final white mat.  The finished dimensions are 8" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    Morning Sue
A truly feminine gift and yes sooooooooo romantic too.
Just the hint of blush brings everything to the fore and I would be exstatic if itifu arrived through my door. Your Sintra die was the first of your last launch I bought and I have really fallen in love with it.

We have beautiful sunshine and it's warm today so I'm sat listening to the birds in the garden singing their little hearts out and looking at the Jasmin which is just coming into flower. Will have to move myself though as I've a bday gift to make and it has to be posted this week.

To all in pain and suffering today I hope your day gets better. To everyone please take care and stay safe. see you tomorrow.

  98. Good morning Sue and Wilsonettes,
This is a pretty pretty card Sue and the paper that you have used for the flowers is just so apt that it looks like real flowers that have the streaks going through them. I do like it when you make all white cards but this stretches into that category as well as it is such a hint of colour added just to highlight the beauty of the card. This would be the style that i think i will make for Rory's favourite lady who is just so feminine in her fashion, walk and just everything about her, this is a Wendy card definitely. Thank you Sue for another stunning creation that i can adapt my dies to make as i have the Pavo but that is all in today's stunner.
Well girls i have Rory to drop of at school before going down the road and getting as much as possible done this week while Campbell is off. So i will wish you all a lovely day and Cheryl try and keep a hold on the BP as it is no good when it goes up through the ceiling sweetheart as it only lands you in hospital, but you go get them girl.
Pam, i hope your lovely nephew is progressing onwards and upwards and coming back to being as close to his old self with older knowledge and wisdom as he can manage. He has come so far from where he was, i just hope that he continues to improve.
Sending love and crafty hugs to all the Wilsonette Angels out there

  151. Hi Sue,
A truly beautiful and feminine board today. I love it! It would make a gorgeous wedding or anniversary card. Simply stunning.
I really do wish that summer would make an appearance here in the north east, I am so sick of being cold and having to have the heating on. I think the cat has decided that she's going to hibernate - I've never seen her so tightly curled up - mind you if I put the fire on, I've never seen her move so fast to get in front of it!! Hope everyone is ok and managing to stay warm, love Alison xx

  174. Hi Sue and lovely Wilsonettes,
so sorry I was missing yesterday and I'm so late today, just been a mad couple of days, it happens from time to time and I don't seem to get any time to myself but I have just spent some time reading everyone's comments from the yesterday & today so all caught up now, phew.
I loved yesterday's card especially as I have the Caribbean background so can have a go. Today's card is so pretty and feminine, the colours are gorgeous and I love the Gemini dies layered up like this to make a frill. The flowers from patterned paper are gorgeous.
Congratulations to all the comment winners on Sunday's list, wow Norah you really did have a week full of lovely surprises.
Elizabeth, I was so sorry to read that you've had horrible heatstroke and on top of that about your Lauren, it's such a worry when our pooches are not themselves, I really hope the test results come back showing improvement, my heart goes out to you.
Yvonne G, Sorry to hear you've been poorly too, hope you're on the mend.
Had a lovely meal with the boys & hubby on Saturday, thanks Lynda.
Hugs & Blessings to all, Deb C xx

  180. Hi Sue,
    Late one from me today,
Sue Romantic is a perfect description of todays card, it is so beautiful, it would be perfect for many occasions, I have to say that I have the Sideshow Rose Ribbon and it is a perfect match for Tattered Rose Distress Ink, I was so surprised at the match
The bow on todays card with those beautiful long tails just sets the card off to perfection.
Thank you so much for the inspiration and I look forward to tomorrows video.
    Love and Hugs
