White on Kraft

)

Hi bloggers!  The video is now fixed and working, sorry about that! Series two is on deck to begin on March 27th (not next week as I originally said) but I'll fill in with some good stuff in the meantime I promise!

I just love the look of kraft card and I think this Justrite stamp set is brilliant to use with it too.  I hope you can take a few minutes and give it a watch!  It is always nice to receive a comment on the video page too!  With this video, we have come to an end of the first series that I filmed.

You can watch the video if you go onto You Tube and subscribe to Creative Expressions. When I first saw the card I thought it was a glittered background, but when I saw the video I could see it was stamped using distress stains? The background stamped in this way looks fabulous. Also the Kraft card looks amazing stamped and embossed in white. Some great techniques on today's video I especially like the tip about using a black pen and dotting around the image it certainly made the image 'Pop'. Thinking of you Pam and sending a hug to you and all that need one. Congratulations Debra on your fabulous news.

I've never used kraft card and am still undecided about it. That said, it does allow all the lovely details to show up so well. Maybe that's the job of kraft card - to step back and allow the other elements to shine? Dunno - will wait to see what else you do with it.

  76. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
Today's wonder has a prettiness to it with the white and the colouring in of the flowers. The white borders look so nice framing the panel of flowers and the sentiment. I just need both sets of stamps and i am away.
Pam flower, i am only sorry that only kind of support that we can give is in words. We cannot give you a hug to comfort but know that we are thinking of you and there will be many tears to come because you loved and were loved, but the time will come that you can start listening for the happiness that only you knew and will start to look back on the things you did that made you happy once, i can only hope that once through this horrible but necessary time you will get that comfort return. Take your time and allow yourself to grieve, but we will be here when you need us again.
Fantastic news Lindsay on your riding school license, i truly hope that you get it to work for you.

To everyone trying the video if you go on to YouTube it is there under Creative expressions.

Debra who is going to be a new grandma (granny up here is Scotland) enjoy your daughter the now before she becomes mum and remember how you wishes you could change your name to anything bar mum and not tell them what it was, (or maybe that was just me that wanted a different name from mum....mum.....mum.... Enjoy your new found status.
The fog is rolling in up here and pinching my hills again and he has brought his pal the cold with him. The gloves will need to be found for today as hands full of cuts and the weather somehow nips them just at their sorest point. Hope to see you all tomorrow,

  114. Hi Sue,Hi Everyone,
It's a gremlin day! Just been to dentist - she's not a gremlin - very nice lady! When my card was put in machine to pay - computer printed receipt but nothing from the little card reader! Receptionist pressed another button and everyone's receipts spewed out of machine! Lady said she was grateful it wasn't end of the day as they would have had miles of the stuff! I'm blaming the fog!

It is a cold grey day here! What a lovely card to cheer up a cold day!

Pam great to see your post yesterday! We do miss you and so pleased the Blog is helping a little bit!

Debra - Congratulations! Being a Grandma is so good!

Congratulations Wales on getting a visit from Sue!

    Love to all, Myra

  128. Hi Sue, back again! Now I've recovered from the shock of seeing Haverfordwest on your demo day list, have played the video. Love the treatment of the Secret Garden stamp and the layering of the tags. Don't like colouring in at all, but could be tempted to try something similar. Didn't dream you could do something as pretty as this from a stamp, you are such an inspiration.

A Work of Art, this one! Absolutely gorgeous in every detail! Thank you so much for showing us how to do it.
I absolutely love craft card and white.
My Granddaughter and her fiancé are marrying on 5 July, and I have
just received their invitation, and guess what... the most lovely craft card with very personal white screen printing, made and given especially by her artist bride's maid as a wedding present!
How can I compete with that when making 80 place cards... Well, today you have certainly once more inspired me!
    Thank you so much, again.
