Each Day

Hi crafters!  I love the sentiment on today's card as it just says it all for me.  I am thankful, very much so for being able to do something that I love, write about here and have dear friends like you that want to come each day and read about it!  It's no wonder that this set by Becca Feeken called Friendship Vintage Labels Seven appealed to me so much!   I put the card together using the Hydrangea again as a background, but this time it was stamped in black Archival ink all over the aqua coloured card.  I covered it with a sticky adhesive sheet and then peeled the backing paper off and sprinkled Iced Snow all over it.  I burnished it in with my finger, giving me a nice sparkly background for my card.  I used the Filigree Flourish die and cut six of them in black and taped them to the back of the background edge so that they were just peeking over the top, giving the edge a pretty detailed finish.  I stamped the sentiment in black and cut it out with the Vintage Labels Seven die from Justrite.  I inked it with Aqua Adirondack before removing it from the die.  I cut another die that shape out of black card and cut it in half to use as a shadow for my sentiment.  I added a messy bow out of turquoise seam binding below my sentiment.  The bow was topped with a black jute bow and a crystal sparkler.  I made two stick pins from beads in my stash as accents for the bow.  I finished the card with a plain double mat of white card instead of my usual pierced layer today (didn't want to compete with that pretty filigree edge!)  Finished dimensions are 5 3/4" x 7" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Fabulous card and a sentiment that says it all. I love the iced snow and I've had to order some more because I'm using it all the time and its running out. I used to look forward to seeing your card every day but now it's your card AND hat pin lol. I like the way you've used the accent die behind your layer. I might have to call the para medics though because no piercing? Lol.

Will go and look at my (small) collection and see if there are any that I can use like you've done here - such a great idea that had'nt occurred to me.

Thanks Pam - I could do with a gentle hug after a lousy night.

    Morning Sue
Today's gift is the most beautiful piece of art.
It has elegance and romance - in fact everything I would love to receive.
Today's colour scheme is still one of my favourites - you introduced me to Teal and it has stayed with me. I love the format and will certainly be trying to achieve the fancy edge technique - I just wish I had bought the Hydranger stamps but they are definitely on the list - which by the way - is now longer than the Forth Bridge!
Today's sentiment is so so true and that also is now on my list.
Hoping to get some crafting in today so see you tomorrow.

  89. Good morning the Wonderful World of Sue and Wilsonettes,
I love the fancy edging that you have put around the card, as it looks so pretty just peeking out. But "ye gods they cry," no pricked edges, Sue what has come amiss today. Still not for Teal though and i know that deep down your subconscious is saying "we will convert that Norah to our way of thinking", but sorry to tell you it's failing. Lovely card but in a paler colour would work with me.
Oh the new array of people that have come upon our little kingdom, from literally all corners of the world, we welcome you all and hope that you enjoy our lovely Sue's cards and the friends that you make on this wonderful blog.
Tres i know exactly how you feel in the illness stakes and wouldn't wish it on my worse enmeny, and although you have joined us again today, i bet your not 100% in fact 50% would be an improvement. Please don't go daft trying to make up for the last few days where you haven't been able to do as it will only make you ill again.(Got the T-shirt for that one). Tandy are you trying hold one bit while another bit throbs and you don't know where to get first? It's the moving around and everyone thinks your nuts, either that or its just me who is...nuts that is. And if it comes full blown and knocks you out everywhere, i'm still looking for the thing that helps that.
Magpie, do you know how much Jonathon Creek wants to try and find my brain and he can't even guarantee success and here was me though that he would take on the job for out of the ordinary factor. His reply was "you'd be amazed at how many have lost their brains, or mislaid them or just been down right careless". Cheek, i'll have him know that i sent mines on holiday for time on its own and it just hasn't come back yet.Hhhmmmp.
SAm, when you think you have messed things up, you haven't, it's just been a happy acident and going down a different road from the one you want to go. Remedy< take it firmly by the sides and give it a good shake and tell it too flippin behave or it gets the "rubbish bin". Put the frighteners on it to toe the line, it'll soon come around to your way of thinking, and if not, you've had a good laugh at yourself after all the stress that it's put you through. A new day brings new chances and clearer vision so i'm told. I have 6 cards all in one state or another until i got it just what i wanted for my son's headmistress and i am sure that even our beloved Sue has cards in varying states of finished from something she was trying to do, so please don't be so hard on your self.
Hi Debra, have tried to go on to your brothers site but it's just going to error. Will you double check the address for us, cos i even put in Sean Denman-Dreamsong and nothing. We will try to mhelp his ambition along because we all have dreams as well or did have, so we know how it feels.
Take care everyone from the sunshine county at -3, but wee are hardy up here, see you tomorrow hopefully,

  135. Hi Sue. Another gorgeous card today !! This is really beautiful Sue, I really love it !! The Hydranga stamp looks great and I think it is another must have but one die that I think is just gorgeous and would be a great addition to my die collection is Becca's Heirloom filigree die. I think the possiblities for it are endless !! I love the colours you have used Sue and the Aqua card looks lovely. I cannot seem to find the Aqua card for sale on its own any where. Please help !!
I love the effect of the glittery background over the top of the Hydrandra stamp. The labels seven looks lovely and the sentiment is just perfect.
Lots of love to you Sue and all the Willsonettes.

Norah thanks for your kind comments. I know you will be feeling exactly how i feel. Sometimes I just cant keep up with everything !!

Hi Sue, You keep bringing us these superb cards and I do love the sentiment, in fact I am going to give it to my better half to take to his rheumatoid arthritis check up tomorrow as the nurse always asks him for his targets for the next year and it will really impress her when he quotes your sentiment, instead of giving her his usual reply; which is .... To wake up and breathe everyday!"

Didn't see the new stamps to go with them - perhaps they are not out there yet? Got plenty to be going on with and just have to try and set aside some time to "play". love and hugs to all. X

They are OutstandingI Love the Color and I really Love How The Die is Peeping out from the topper it looks great in black, your topper with your Iced Snow effect is Awesome I just love! When I just lost my Mojo yesterday, I looked through you're Cards on my Pinterest Folder and came across one with Micro Beads so I hope you don't mind I did my version I had a Fabulous Scandinavian Paper with Roses on so I covered it with The Awesome Micro Beads, I'll have to send you a photograph it's no way as good as yours but I've had a go.

  166. Hellooo Sue and all the Wilsonettes! A beautiful card Sue. The Hydrangea stamp is lovely. The stick pins, well, as stunning as ever. The Sentiments just speak from the heart to each and everyone of us, (and yesterdays Sentiment too!) and no doubt it will go down well too with the nurse Pauline! I love the flourish die. That would be constantly used (if I had one.....the credit card has gone into hiding) as they just give that oomph on everything. Clever by just using them as a frame and please don't miss your piercing out Sue, no matter what. It's your wonderful trademark. Norah, well, I'm shocked over Johnathan Creek. That's a terrible thing to say! I reckon we should get Inspector Cloussea on the case instead..... Let's hope brain didn't have a one way ticket.....Sam, as Norah says, never give up hope when you mess up. Sometimes an accident ends up being a masterpiece....or something looking a bit more normal than what it was..... Thinking of you Marianna, Pam, Tina, Alison, Tandy, Norah, Steph Tres and everyone else who needs a hug today too. Take it easy and don't rush. Just "chill". Thanking you Sue, as always, for your inspiration xx Love Karen xx

  177. Evening Sue and beautiful Wilsonettes. Each Day ... I know I will find an amazing gift.
Each Day ... I know I will meet my amazing family.
Each Day ... I know my life will be enriched by absolute beauty.

And its ALL down to you Sue and bringing us all together every day.
I thank goodness you have done that as my day has been far from good !! Broken boiler and when I say its been warmer outside than in im not joking ! Although still to cool for me to enjoy, so my friend for most of the day has been Walter Hottle Bottle (remember him from Bunty comic) 1000's of years ago ??!! So numb hands and no crafting !
I loved watching this W.O.W come together on your last show, I just LOVE watching you work full stop.
Tina is having a real awful time, and she is going through everything I have emotionally, so it will be some time before you see her post, there are times she pops in to look, and read, and her most recent email states how much she and her husband appreciate all the caring messages they are getting, her husband cant believe how wonderful the support is here, so both Tina and hubby thank you all so much.
Sad and devistated just doesn't explain how Tina is at the moment bless her.
To those Wilsonettes off to the show, you MUST do something to highlight yourselves as.Wilsonettes, it would be fantastic for you to meet up : )
I also want to send warm, gentle, friendly hugs to all our ladies that need to feel supported and cared for today (((( ))))

    Love to all.
