Friendship

Good Sunday morning all!  They do seem to come around quickly, don't they!  Another sample from my shows this past month, this one using the Hydrangea stamp set from Justrite.  I selected teal and white card as the combo on this card.  I stamped the hydrangea stamp all over the background using a Clear Perfect Medium pad.  I heat embossed them with white powder.  Using some green zircon seam binding, I wrapped it vertically around my card and taped the ends to the back and matted the background with a thin white mat.  For the focal element, I picked the Majestic Labels 25 and cut it in white.  I used the smaller sizes to emboss the design into the inside area of the die.  I stamped my sentiment from Creative Expressions stamp set called Sincere Sentiments in black Archival ink on white card.  I used a flourish from the Justrite set called Friendship Vintage Labels Seven as side accents.  Using the Justrite Vintage Labels seven die, I cut it out and inked it lightly with Broken China Distress ink before removing it.   I cut an additional die from teal card, cut it down the centre and used it as a shadow mat behind my sentiment.  I cut a Bitty Blossom flower from white felt and rolled it to complete my flower.  I seated it upon a messy bow tied from the green zircon seam binding.  I made two matching stick pins as accents.  I completed the card with a double white pierced mat and added a thin teal layer in the middle.  Finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 1/4" in size.

By the way, some of you are emailing me that you are having issues trying to "pin" the cards.  It used to be that you hovered over the picture and the button would appear.  I had to disable that function when the videos started last year.  Now, the "pin it" button is at the end of every post, just scroll down to find it.   All you have to do is click that and it will open up a whole page of pictures and videos from the week and you can select any or all of the pictures or videos from the page to pin, the more the merrier!  If you are still having any problems, please email me at the address above.  All for now, Sue x

  64. Sunday Smiles to you Sue and all Wilsonettes. Im pretty certain February followed my brain cell to Norah's hill's as I dont remember much of last month at all ! I remember Sue telling me to be headstrong with those pesky guilding flakes and that I WILL win the battle ! They still snigger and jear at me as I open their box, then attack me from head to toe, but I managed to coax them onto a Valentine card so - LS1 - GF 0 : )

Congratulations to ALL winners today, what a happy Sunday, and a great gift on its way to you. I was walking on air for days after I read my name it was a great feeling : )

Teeeeal - mmmmm boootiful. I think any stamp that can be used for a background as well as a focal point is worth its weight in gold, so WHY have I not got many ? Good question ! I may have to remedy that if I can, and today, as we are off to our daughters to get the dogs use to each other - again - long story, but I will have to stop by the craft store near her as they stock the majority of toys Our Sue works with : )
Its amazing how the most beautiful card comes from so few items, that's Sue for ya though the W.O.W effect Wonder of Wilson : )

    Have a lovely day everyone.

  114. Good morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
A big congratulations to all of this weeks winners, i know you will thoroughly enjoy it when it arrives.
Sue, i'm getting there with the darker cards but not quite yet. I love all the components of your card, just need a wee bit less teal. Sorry everyone that loves teal, i just can't get to grips with the colour with me at all. It just always looks wrong whenever i try it, a bit like those gilding flakes, it tests my powers of sanity to the limits and there isn't much there in the first place. I sent out the mountain rescue that we have here at the Hillfoots, but so far they have come back empty handed. They even asked if the brain escaped me, it was probably trying to get a rest from all it's overwork. On 24/7 it probably escaped to get peace and quiet. I asked them to lookout for yours while they were at it Steph, but so far nothing, sorry. I will keep you posted on any reported sightings of them. I do hope Cassie is going to behave when she meets her new cousin. And tell the other one that they need to have a wee bit more patience and share their toys. Biscuits in the pockets sometimes can help, well bribery and corruption helps out the children and it would seem that great big building down in Great Britain's capital. (Oooh naughty Norah).
Hey i think that's fantastic that Lynda and Karen(magpie)and her hubby have all lost such a significant amount of weight with shanks pony. I wonder if Mr. Shanks realises just how good his method is. I nearly put that Karen had lost 3 stone as well as her hubby, but it didn't come out quite right, ooops, sorry Mr.Magpie.
English Rose, i tried leaving the credit card last year before going to the SECC and ended up borrowing £30 from my friend, so it doesn't work if you go with someone. Off there next Sunday and i can't wait, because you do meet and awful lot of lovely people as well as the ones that i am just in their way, but i'm going to try really hard not to destroy anybodies stall this year. I don't think i'll go back to the Cardio booth thou this time as she might do a runner on my approach, there again she might have a smaller tablecloth that doesn't get tangled up in a scooters wheels. I'm sure someone once said that you learn a new thing everyday, i wonder if Cardio learned,MMMHH?
Well there's snow on the back hills, but as long as it just keeps the hills company we are all happy. So from a sunny(in patches) day up here i hope to see you all tomorrow, take care,
    Love and crafty hugs

  125. Happy Sunday afternoon all you Wilsonettes. Very chilly here in Shropshire again, and wet! But hey what's new, found the frogs had been busy in the pond last night or this morning, and it was heaving with frogs spawn, so spring can not be too fr away. Live this card I normally like the pastel ones but teal is a grey colour too. Have just finished making my mums 75th birthday card using your amazing dies I still only have the Californian collecting and a couple of the bows, but you can mix and match them so well. Hope everyone so keeping well and congratulations to all this weeks winners xxxx

  128. Hi Sue. WOW this card is beautiful !! I love every thing about it. The Teal is one of my favourite colours. It looks great with the hydranga stamp embossed in white all over the background. I also love the sentiment and the new Justrite labels seven dies. Your white felt flower looks great but I struggle with the bitty blossom dies. I love the messy bow and stick pins too. A truly beautiful card today Sue.
sorry I have not commented for a couple of days as I have been unwell again. I have looked back on all I have missed and you have made some gorgeous cards in that time Sue. I really love the colourful butterfly card and the card you made with your video was fab !! Yesterdays card was great to. More dies and stamps to add to my wish list.

Tina I was so very sorry to hear your heartbreaking news about your beautiful doggie Bekeley. I was so sad and I cried to on reading about what happened. I know you will never forget the happy memories you shared with her. Sending you lots of love and hugs from Tres x x x

Congrats to all todays winners and Sheila Ginger congrats on winning one of Sues beautiful cards.

Lots of love to Sue and all the Willsonettes love Tres x x x

  153. Hi Sue and all the Wilsonettes! What can say Sue? Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! From one of my favourite colours, the wonderful effect of the white embossing powder (love the stuff!), beautiful rose and those dies.... ooooo and stunning pins....!! I'm not wishing hard enough me thinks, Lol! To Steph and Norah, as always, I've been in stitches, as was Mr Magpie! He says there won't be any insurance money yet to buy all of Sue's dies and stamps! Lol! About the saga of those missing brains....maybe Sherlock Holmes could help.....or... Johnathen Creek....or maybe it might help putting a couple of photo's on crime watch? It's reminding me a bit like the stories of the Scottish folk that go (not) haggis shooting now lol! Ooooo and Steph, about the GF problem, we need to invent a chamber that we can just step into and it covers us, with that there, anti-static powder stuff. Then after that we could do with that puff of air that they use on that toilet roll advert. We'd sort the little blighters then eh what?! They are just lethal aren't they? Just need to sort out the glitter then! Hope you've had a good spend today at the craft shop. Margaret, good thinking of just buying 'cause you can't take it with you....Mr Magpie take note....! Norah, it is good that snow is on the hills and staying there.....Happy late birthday wishes to your mum, Lyndsey. Well done Pat on selling soooo many cards, although with Sue's tools, it comes as no surprise! Sorry to hear that you have been poorly Tres. Nice to see you back and take it easy. Thank you too Sue for your time and wonderful inspiration. Take care everyone xx Congratulations to all the lucky winners! Wonderful! Enjoy your prize! xx Love Karen xx

  155. Hi Sue, Well it's been a very mixed day today, I'm making a Card for a lady that goes to my
CRAFT CLASS , But No more as I get very stressed if things go wrong and today was the day, I'd decided what to make, that went very wrong so that had to go! and I was racking my Brain what to do next, so I went through your Cards in my Pinterest Folder and found one I could adapt I'm adding Micro Beads to my background so I truly hope it doesn't go wrong I'll be really cross with myself.
Today's Card is Truly STUNNING I really Love how you've stamped The Awesome Hydrangea Stamp in White on your background onto Teal Card another thing I just Love and your Fabulous Stick Pins I must get some of those Pins and have a go as I've found somewhere with lovely Beads I Love The Sentiment Chosen from Creative Expressions they always say the correct things, I know you mentioned about Pinterest I found that on Video Day's the Pin doesn't always appear, so I just go to the Day Previous and like you mentioned it comes up with quite a few of your previous days Cards, Video's and the brilliant close up shots also.
Take Care Sue Love and Hugs from Sam x
To all The Wonderful Wilsonettes, I really hope you're all well, where I live it's been very wet and cold,

Well done to all the winners, you are so generous Sue. Sue did you by chance see the show on C & C yesterday by Chloe the young girl who does the beautiful fancy stamps and card samples, quite a few of her samples had your Umbria die on them. I knew right away as that is one of the sets I have. So lots of people loving them.
