Hi crafters! I am delighted to be showing some of the new cards that I created while I have been away! This weeks cards will all be sneak peeks from the samples I've made for the Sunday Tool Shed and 5pm shows. This first one uses a new stamp set by Samantha Walker called Dainty Doilies and her matching die set called Delicate Doilies. Isn't it beautiful! I have used a few other bits from some of the other sets that will be available too. I started with the very back layer of my background and used one of the stamps from the Lace Vintage Labels Three and a black archival ink pad and stamped it all around the edge for an interesting pattern. For the next layer, I selected a piece of our new mauve card (I still say it looks more lavender though) and I used the same stamp again from the Justrite Vintage Lace Labels three set and stamped the background all over using a clear Perfect Medium pad as a watermark. The sentiment I picked is from the new Mix and Match Sentiments set by Justrite designed by Becca Feeken. I love the way she has done the phrases so that you can have it say so many things. There is such a lovely variety of phrases that can easily be mixed and matched and put into any configuration to fit your own personal needs. I simply stamped it in Black Archival ink along the bottom of my card. I matted it with a thin black mat and adhered it to my larger background. On milk coloured card, I stamped the Samantha Walker Dainty Doily stamps in black archival ink. I cut them out with the matching dies and inked them with Eggplant Adirondack ink while still in the die. I stacked them using mounting foam in between the layers for dimension and mounted it in the middle of my card above my sentiment. Using our new Vintage coloured felt, I cut a flower from Spiral Flower Four. I tied a messy bow from chalk coloured seam binding and added a twine bow beneath it for texture. I seated my flower in the centre of my bow and added a flatback pearl to the centre. I finished the card with a double milk mat with a pierced inner mat and some pearls to the corners. I do hope you like it! Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

Many apologies for being away from your blog posting for a while, not been well again.

Many thanks for your inspiration Sue,
