Travel The World/ Sneak Peek

Hi everyone!  Are you ready for another guy cards so soon?  I hope so, as I have the Justrite stamp set called  Explore Vintage Labels Four set on the show.  I think I made more cards with this set than any of the others.  Once I got started, I just couldn't stop!  I started this one by stamping my card image all over the background of  a piece of black card.  I used a clear Perfect Medium pad and I heat embossed them with black powder.  I stamped the same image again, but this time I used a Black Archival pad on tan card.  I stamped the Journey background stamp on a slightly darker shade of tan card using a coffee ink pad.  I used the Vintage Labels Four dies to cut both pieces out.  I used a thin black pen and made faux stitching around the larger back piece as an accent.  I stamped the sentiment and cut them out in two pieces using the Charmed I'm Sure tags.  I used natural and black jute twine and tied the tags together and added them at the corner of my main focal element.  I used a small piece of hessian (burlap) and removed some of the pieces from it to distress it a bit.  I glued it behind my focal element.  I poked three holes in the upper corner and added some faux screw brads.  I glued three mini cogs in the lower corner as accents.  I finished the card with a milk coloured mat and a double tan mat.  I used Cosmic Shimmer black PVA glue dots as accents around the edge.  A real guy sort of card I think, don't you?  Finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size.  All for now, Sue x

My daddy would have loved this card as he had a love for the old cars all his life being a car mechanic.
I really like how you have used the feature stamp in the background as well tying them in together. Although i think i would need to have put oil on it to make it dad appropriate as i very seldom seen him without oily hands.
I like the colours you have used as they look just right. All in all a perfect card, thank you Sue,
