Thinking Of You Makes Me Smile

                                                                  Morning all!  I hope everyone had a lovely weekend!  Today's card is an easy simple design showcasing the Justrite stamps and dies.  I started by embossing a piece of white card with the Large Vintage Girl embossing folder by Couture Creations.  It is difficult to see in the first pic, but you can catch it in the close up pics.  It has a natural oval in the centre that I have added flatback pearls to in order to accentuate it.  I have also added pearls to the ends of the swirls, although they do look a bit random in this pic.  I stamped the Vintage Winged Labels three stamp (by Justrite) in black archival on blush card and cut it out with the matching dies to create a frame.  I stamped my sentiment on white card but added a touch of Spun Sugar around the edges.  I mounted my frame over it with mounting foam pieces.  I added it to the centre of my embossed background, allowing the edges of the pearled oval embossing to peek out.  I used the Wonderful Wings die set to cut a couple of butterflies for my card.  One out of blush card and one out of black glitter card.  I adhered them in opposite corners and added some small pearls to their bodies as accents. I used a thin black mat on each section and  I matted my centre focal piece on blush card that I scored around the edges several times.  Finally I finished the card by adding a double white pierced mat. Definitely more of a girlie type card!  Finished dimensions are 7" x 9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

    I had a fabulous weekend thank you Sue! My eldest son got married and my youngest son flew in from LA on Saturday for the wedding yesterday and flies back again today! Not much crafting done. LOL!

    Today's card is simply beautiful Sue. Such a soft pretty colour. I really like the embossing folder you have used.

    A very soft/gentle and beautiful gift for a Monday morning.
    Definitely girlie girlie but more than pretty!! The colours are truly gentle and delicate and the format may be easy to do but certainly stands out.
    It's back to C.cards for me today having made 30 still need many more so C.cards here I come after my second cup of coffee of course.

    Lovely card again, Sue, gentle colourway. Not often that you use 'add-ons', but the butterflies really pretty and do like the scoring on the pink mat, gives a different take.

    It's a shame the embossing folder doesn't show up well in the main image as it looks nice from the close ups, it's so difficult to photograph a card to get everything to show up well I've found. Your close ups do the trick though.

    The pearls looks lovely around in oval aperture style around the sentiment.
