Special Friend

 Hi crafters!  Blush and Chestnut for today's card and yes that is a new card colour that we are now carrying.  I love a pretty brown and this one is lovely.  Doesn't it look nice with the blush card too!  I started with the Resplendent Rectangle set and cut the largest insert with one of the smaller cutting edges in the centre out of the blush card.  I ended up using some of the smaller alternate dies to simply emboss the pattern into the card for texture.  I embossed the very centre of the die and recessed it downward as I mounted the outside piece on foam mounting pieces for dimension.  I stamped my sentiment using a coffee Archival ink pad and cut it out with one of the smaller dies in the Labels 30 die set.  I inked the edges with the coffee archival ink pad too.  I mounted it in the centre of my card on foam and added some PVA glue dots in Choco Brown to the inside of the oval edges.  I matted the entire piece on another piece of chestnut brown card with a thin blush layer.  I used the Choco brown PVA to create dots all the way around the brown card mat, then added a final pierced double brown mat to complete the card.  Finished dimensions are 6" x 8" in size.
