Good morning bloggers! Today's card was from the JustRite shows back in March just to mix it up a bit. I started by picking that pale green shade of card and adding coconut white card in the mix with it. I wanted to give the bottom of the card a fancy treatment, but decided to try something other than a petticoat look. I decided to go for a wide slatted look. To achieve this, I cut narrow strips of white card and added some mounting foam to the back of them. I scored the white card at 1/2 inch increments and added my slats to every other one. I like the way it looks as it gives the bottom a bit of interest without taking over. I used a piece of white silky crush ribbon cut down the centre as a border between the two sections. I tied a double bow and added it to the side of the card with a glue dot. A green Dazzler was a perfect match to the card I picked. I added two pearl stick pins to complete the bow. For my focal element, I stamped the Vintage Labels two stamp from JustRite's Live, Laugh, Love set using a black Archival ink pad and cut it out with the matching die. I mounted it in the centre of my card in a vertical orientation. I stamped it again, but this time using a clear Perfect Medium pad on the green card. I heat embossed it with white powder. I cut it out with the matching die and a smaller die to create a frame this time. I mounted this one horizontally across my sentiment framing it. I cut a tag from the Ornate Square set and nipped the ends off to use as corners. I added some flatback white pearls to the corners and central die cut as accents. I added a thin black black then a double white mat with a pierced inner layer to complete my card. Finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size.

The live laugh love set is definitely on my wish list !! I love the rest of your card to. More good ideas so thank you for sharing them. ReplyDeleteHi Sue,
ReplyDeleteLovely spring coloured card today.
Beverley W
Good morning Sue,
ReplyDeleteI really like the freshness of the green in todays' card. The green and white reminds of what a fresh Spring day used to be like. I really like the crushed ribbon colours and density but, i would be forever ironing ribbon ( one of those people that can't wear a naturally creased item would ironing it to death until it was smooth). Haven't been on Pinterest site yet so will have to look.
Well done to all the winners this week.
Take care
Love and crafty hugs
