Lavender Thank You

Morning all!  One of my other favourites from the last shows for today's offering.  I love lavender and it is so pretty and clean when paired with white.  I started by cutting two of the Decorative labels 8 dies in the largest size in white.  I nipped away a small strip from the sides of both of them in order to make them fit as a background. Then I glued them on lavender card.  Next I stamped my Cupid background and white heat embossed it.  I roughed up the edges a bit with the side of my scissors to distress it.  Then I inked them with Dusty Concord distress ink around the edge.  Using the matching Antique Tags One die set, I cut an aperture in the bottom of my background.  I stamped my sentiment (from the Grand sentiment set by JustRite) on white card and mounted the background over it using foam pieces.  Next I cut one of the medium sized dies in the Decorative Labels 8 set in white card. I mounted it over the heart in the background using foam pieces.  I stamped my sentiment and frame on to lavender card using a black archival ink pad.  I cut it out with the matching tag die and inked it with Dusty Concord.  I cut the smallest die in the decorative Labels 8 set, cut it in half and attached it to the top and bottom of my sentiment.  I placed it in the centre of my focal element with foam pieces for dimension.  I added some flatback pearls for accents and pierced the edges of my double white mat to complete my card.  Yes, girlie indeed!  Finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x 8" in size.

Well I had hoped to show you some pics from CHA, however, I thought I would make it easier on take them with my phone rather than my camera.  I can't seem to get them to load from my phone after several attempts!  However, I have noticed that just about everything I took pics of has been put online on You Tube already!  I decided that I would video the demos that I saw at the special invitation Ranger event, which I was invited to attend before the show opened on Sunday morning.  Absolutely no luck loading those either.  I am sure that if my skills were actually skills and not the blind fumbling that I do on the computer, I could have accomplished it.  So sorry, I hope you will be satisfied with just the cards on the blog!
