Hip Hip Hooray

Good Sunday morning all!  It's celebration time! 
I started with a piece of coconut white card and used the Dotty Streamers die with the straight sides to cut into the card on both sides.   I went into my crafty background stash and pulled out a piece of caught in crystal that I made awhile ago.  On to a piece of acetate, I used blue and green crystal tints with some added holographic glitter and scrunched up some tissue paper to put over the back of it.  After it is dry you can use it behind dies or die cut it, both of which I have done here.  I cut out three of the balloons from the Dotty Balloon die set and added clear Cosmic Lacquer over the top to give them a shiny look.  I attached the "strings" using a couple of the different dies in the set and added the balloons to the centre of the card.  I cut the Hip Hip Hooray die out of the centre of the caught in crystal piece and added it to another one cut in white, then glued it to the bottom of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now. Sparkly Tree Card

Hello there my crafty friends!  Who can't use a sparkly heart tree card for a special loved one!  This one is so easy to create and is so pretty with all the colourful glitter, who could resist!  What do you think?

Thank You For Being There

Hello crafters!  Today's colours are Blue Dusk and white.  I started by cutting four of Joanie's Border in white.  I glued them around the edge of a piece of Blue Dusk card with each of them over lapping in the corners to create an interesting pattern.  I used both the Double Stitched Squares and the Double Pierced Squares to create a multi layered frame for the sentiment.  I cut a wider white frame Double Pierced Squares and then added a thinner outer frame cut out of the Blue Dusk card using the Double Stitched Squares on top of it.  I stamped my sentiment then added a sticky adhesive sheet over the top of it.  I peeled the backing off then added the frame over it.  I sprinkled Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz on to the sticky adhesive over the sentiment for a sparkly finish.  I added the framed sentiment to the centre of the card.  I made a small flower using the extra flowers from the Magnolia Corner and used the leafy section of the die as an accent for it.  I added the flower to the lower corner of the frame with the foliage.  The card was completed with white and Blue Dusk mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7" in size.  All for now. Happy Birthday

Hello there my crafty friends!  This one is an older creation, but I thought it was quite pretty!  I started with a piece of coconut white card and embossed it with the Field Of Flowers embossing folder for texture.  I used the Frosty Sparkle Glitter Kiss over the embossed background to add a subtle sparkle to it (you can really see it in the close up pics).  Next I cut the Abigail die out of Sky Blue card.  I added a white backing to it and attached it to the upper part of the card.  Next I cut a white Pierced Flag die and added the Happy Birthday sentiment to it cut out of Sky Blue card.  I used the Petal Pocket Flower die and made three flowers.  I added the centres out of sky blue to tone in with the card.  I arranged two of the flowers around the end of the flag die and the other one in the opposite corner of the Abigail die.  I used both leaves from the Petal Pocket die set and Fern Fronds cut in white as accents around the flowers.  The card was completed with white and sky blue mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now. Wish You Were Here

Hi there my crafty friends!  Here's one that is sort of along the clean and simple lines.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card using the Rose Bed embossing folder.  Next I cut the Tiled Background in white.   I also cut the outer die from the set using a piece of white card covered with sticky adhesive sheet.  I attached the die cut onto the backing with the sticky adhesive sheet.   I used a piece of background from my stash that I had covered in different colours of Opal Polish (Lavender Blue, Blue Parakeet and Pink Thistle) and cut the Tiled background out it too.  I used the fall away pieces from it and paper pieced it back into the exposed areas of adhesive in the background.  Next I cut the tulip from the Elegant Flower Trio in white and added it to a white backing.  I attached it with foam to the side of the Tiled Background.  I stamped a sentiment and cut it out with a small Double Stitched Rectangles die and added it to the side.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x 
7 1/2" in size.  All for now. Sue x

Hi bloggers!  I started the background by covering a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet.  I peeled the backing off and coated it with Gemstones Gilding Flakes.  I used a piece of Rubit Scrubit pad to move the flakes all over the background, then to refine the flakes and remove any excess.  Next I used the Double Stitched Squares and set up all of the dies on one piece of coconut white card.  The reason I used all of them is that it helps align the dies evenly and then I can use the leftover bits from every other square on another card in the future.  I added mounting foam yo the three squares I used and added them to the background.  I cut a Pierced Flag and attached to the inside edge of the smallest square.  I cut a white and black version of the Thank you and glued them together, using the black as an offset shadow.  I attached them to the flag.  Using the Decorative version of the Striped Nasturtiums, I made a single flower and added it with white leaves to the end of the flag.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/2"  x  7 1/2" in size.  All for now.
