Abstract Rose Card

Hello crafters!  Today's card is an old technique that uses Distress inks on to your craft mat.  It is fabulous for a quick background and it always looks different every time you do it!

The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now. Sue x

To A Dear Friend

Hello bloggers!   It is back to gilding flakes for today.  I started by embossing a piece of coconut white card with the Rose Bed embossing folder.  Next I covered a piece of card with a sticky adhesive sheet and then used Autumn Leaves gilding flakes on it.  From that sheet, I cut the Priscella die, two of the Priscella's Border dies, a Cosmos Flower and the To A Dear Friend sentiment.  I glued the two borders to the edge of the background.  I added a black backing to the Priscella die and added it between the borders.  Next I cut the Mallory die in black and added a white backing to it.  I layered that on top of the Priscella die.  I cut a shadow sentiment in black and added it behind the gilded one and glued it in the middle of the Mallory die.   I added the Cosmos Flower to the upper corner of the sentiment.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now. Happy Birthday

Hello bloggers!  Here is a pretty rose and white birthday card for today's offering.  I started with the Brambled Rose embossing folder to add texture to the white background.  Next I cut three of the Mallory die in white and put two side by side and glued them to the background.  The third one I added foam to the back and centred it in the middle of them, slightly raised.  I cut the Priscella die in Old Rose card and added a white backing to it.  I seated it horizontally across the three Mallory dies with foam.  I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with the centre die in the set and added it with foam in the middle of the card.  I used the sides of a thin rectangle frame and cut them to the shape to fit around and frame the sentiment.  I added four pearls where they overlapped in the corners.  I cut three Cosmos flowers out of white and added the outlines to them in Old Rose.  I added them in opposite corners pf the card and accented them with white leaves.  The card was completed with white and Old Rose mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2" x  8 3/4" in size.  All for now. Friendship Isn't Just One Big Thing

Hi bloggers!  I know that it is always a bit disappointing to go back to one post per day after the blog launches, but I thought I would share another card sample from the January release.  I started with two pieces of coconut white card at once and cut the Friendship All In One.  I kept the top die cut as it always cuts all the way through, but the bottom die cut doesn't.  The bottom card mostly just cuts the outer edge and leaves a deep impression of the die.  I used this one to add the colour.  I used Distress Markers from yellow, to orange to pink to red and deep red and blended them all the way down the design.  I did colour in the leaves with Peeled Paint.  I coated it with spray glue, then added the die cut on top and filled in the remaining exposed adhesive with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.   I added it onto a white shadow.  I cut the die again and nipped out all the large flowers, then curled them up and added pearls to the centres and glued them back over the flowers in the design.  I made a white embossed background using the Rose Bed embossing folder  and added a multi layered white frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles.  I seated the die in the middle of the frame and completed the card with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x 8" in size.  All for now. Pom Pom Flowers

Hello there my crafty friends!  We have come to the end of the blog launch, but not without showcasing one of my favourite new flowers; the Pom Pom Flowers.  These have been designed to look like a type of real life Mum or as they are often called Pom Pom Flowers.  I know that they look a bit daunting when you just see the pieces, but they layer up to create these lovely and very different flowers.  You can look back and see them on day two if you want to see them used another way.  Notice the Magnolia Corners used as foliage accents here too?  I love that these are really different to any other flower on the market and they just look so fabulous on your creations too!  For a final time, I ask you to leave a comment on this post for a chance at winning this lovely set of dies.  Please do not forget to check back here to see if your name is one the list of winners.  IT will be posted on January 27th in the afternoon.  I hope you have enjoyed the blog launch as much as I have!  All for now. Magnolia Corner

  Hello crafters!  We have arrived at the penultimate post of the blog launch.  This is a set that has probably been my favourite and you may have noticed it along the way in different configurations!  Introducing the Magnolia Corner die set.   Shown here is all it's glory, this set has a large corner die base with several coordinating flowers.  The flowers can be made to look a number of ways too so they are very versatile.  It is going to be a real go to in your craft stash.  If you love adding floral accents to your cards, I would highly recommend it.  Just leave your comment on the post and you never know, it might be coming home with you!  The final post of the launch will be here at 6pm.  You aren't going to want to miss it!  All for now. Tropical Flora

Hi bloggers!  I just thought you needed a Tropical Flora set to use with the new flamingos so here it is!  I love that this set gives you those little accents that make or break a card.  How many times have you thought, it just needs a little something?  I know I have!  This set has a variety of different tropical style leaves as well as a couple sizes of flowers and centres for a total of twenty dies!  That is a whopping number of dies in a single set!  You will be ready for anything!  You can see that I have used the leaves as a pretty accent for my circle frames on this fun flamingo card.  If this set is one you know you would love to have in your craft stash, then why not take a chance, leave a comment and maybe even win the set!  What have you got to lose!   We will continue along with the third post here at 3pm.  Looking forward to seeing then.  All for now. Tropical Background

Hello and welcome to the last day of the January die release blog launch!  We are beginning with the Tropical Background.  While this one was designed with the flamingos in mind, it can easily be used with so many other tropical themed cards I think!  In fact there are numerous die sets in my own line that will fit the bill!  Like all of my backgrounds, it does not have an outside cutting edge so you can give it a thin or thicker border depending on your needs.  I have inked through the die here to bring out some of the veins in the foliage and add a slightly darker edge to it as well.   I hope you will find so many reasons to use this one and tell me all about it in the comments!  See you back here at noon!  All for now. Have A Magical Day

Hi there my crafty friends!  We are winding down day five with the last mini Expression from the launch.  Introducing the Have A Magical Day mini expression.  This one also has a mixture of block and swirly fonts, with the word "magical" done in what can only be described as a magical font, right?  Shown here, you can see how lovely it looks when used in the centre of the Joanie die.  It is large enough to be a perfect focal element, but small enough to share the limelight with other dies too.   It is also easy to nip the words apart and use them in other configurations, depending on the needs of your crafting project, so it is very versatile.  If this one is calling to you, then just pop a quick comment on the post and your name will be included in the drawing to win it!  Well, I hate to have to say this, but we have come to the end of day number five and that leaves up with only one final day tomorrow.  It does seem to go by so quickly doesn't it!  I will be here on the blog with the first post tomorrow morning at 6am.  All for now, Sue x

Hello Sunshine

Hi bloggers!  Up next is the Hello Sunshine Mini Expression.  This is another great sentiment that works well with the flamingos, but I can think of so many other uses for it as well!  I love the way that phrase is done in two different fonts for a bit more whimsy.  They are both highly readable though and that is very important to me.  Again, it is just a small die set to win, but still a free die is a free die, right?  I hope you will leave a comment on this post and become part of the drawing.  The last post for today will be on the blog at 6pm.  I would love to be able to share it with you then!  All for now Sue x

Be Unique

Hello all!  We are back with  a Mini Expression to showcase during this blog post.  While I know that it is probably the smallest die of the release, the Be Unique die is still quite a fabulous die to use, especially if you love the flamingos! It is just one of those fun sort of expressions that works perfectly with a card like this!   I think this one would be great for a teenager's card too!  If you have been following the blog launch, but haven't yet left a comment, the instructions are on the right hand side of the blog and are ever so simple.  Maybe a few new names will grace this post, who knows!  The next post is at 3pm today.  All for now.
