 Hi bloggers!   Today's card is a simple card done with alcohol inks.  I started with a piece of the new Ranger Silver Sparkle card designed to work with Alcohol inks.  I used Sailboat Blue and Cool Peri and Raspberry alcohol inks over the silver card.  I held the card up and allowed the colours to run to the other end of the card.  I allowed it to dry well, then used the decorative die from the Vanessa die set to cut the design into the card.  This did require several passes back and forth as the card is quite thick.  I added pearls to the flowers and backed it with white card.  I cut the Thanks Shadowed sentiment in black and used a white shadow.  I added it to the centre of the design with foam.  I added this piece to another slightly larger piece of white card that I added a border of Iced Snow around the edge.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Birthday

Hi crafters!  Switching gears today to another lovely colour combo, Bluebell, Sky Blue and white.  I cut the middle die from the Lola die set into the sides of a piece of coconut white card with a piece of Sky Blue lined up behind it.  I removed the sky blue, then re-cut the top layer of the Lola die into the coconut white card.  I lined up the two pieces and glued them together then added a white backing behind it.  Next I cut the Vivian die in white and backed it with white card.  I used the outer decorative edges to add an edge of Bluebell to it  I added it horizontally with foam to my background.  I cut one more Lola die out of white, Bluebell and sky blue card and added it across the centre of the Vivian die.  I used the centre from the Vivian and cut it in Sky Blue and added a white backing to it.  I used the Happy Birthday shadowed sentiment cut in black with a white shadow for the sentiment and glued it to the smaller Vivian die and added both to the centre of the card.  I used a double strip of white pearls cut in half and added a row to the upper and lower edges of the background.  The card was completed with white, sky blue and bluebell mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are
6 1/2" x  9" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Hello crafters!  I am kind of in love with this colour combo of Old Rose, Powder Pink, Taupe and Milk card!  I started this card by cutting the Basketweave die out of milk card.  I backed it with taupe card, then added a multi layered frame using the Double Stitched Rectangles.  I made an Taupe base frame and added a thin Old Rose frame on top.  Next I cut the Jocelyn die out of taupe card and added a milk card backing to it then added it to the centre of the frame. I cut the Many Thanks Shadowed sentiment out of Old Rose and added it to a milk card base then glued it to the centre of the Jocelyn die.   I made three Fuchsias out of Old Rose, Powder Pink and Milk card with varying shades of green for the leaves.  I glued them under the edge of the top of the frame, over hanging on to the Jocelyn die a bit.  I made a Hummingbird for the lower corner out of the same colours of Taupe, Powder Pink and Old Rose but in a different order.  The card was completed with milk, powder pink and old rose.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  8 1/4" in size.   All for now, Sue x

Dragonfly Circle Card

Hi bloggers!  I just love this dragon fly and I think it makes a great alternative to a butterfly too.  It works a treat as an accent on guy cards as well, don't you think?

Hello there bloggers!  It's a triple layer kind of Monday!   I started this card by lining up a piece of coconut white card with a piece of Old Rose card and using the middle layer of the Charlene die to cut it four times, two on each side edge facing each other.  I removed the Old Rose card then used the top layer of the Charlene to line up and re-cut the same four areas.  I then glued them together and added a powder pink base,  Next I cut the Penelope die with a Powder pink top layer, an Old Rose middle layer and a white backing layer.  I cut the inside out it out to create a frame and added mounting foam to raise it.  I cut the centre of the Penelope die in white twice.  I recessed one of the into the centre of the frame, then cut the other one in half and used it to extend outward from the top and bottom of the frame.  I added it to the centre of the card, them cut the Shadowed Thanks in black and added it to a white shadow.  I added it across the centre of the frame with foam.  The card was completed with white, Powder Pink and Old Rose mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x  9 1/2" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Good Sunday morning all!  I pulled out the Wavy mask for the background for today's card.  I decided to use Enchanted Gold Gilding Polish through it onto a piece of coconut white card for a subtle background.  Next I cut the Claire die in white and added both an antique gold backing and thin frame edge to it.  I cut the centre circle out of antique gold and added a Thank You sentiment in white to it.  I added it to the centre of the background with foam and made some flowers to embellish it.  I used the Striped Nasturtiums with an Enchanted Gold polish on the base and a white striped overlay on top.  I made three flowers and added them on opposite sides of the focal die.  The card was completed with white and antique gold mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7" x 7" in size.  All for now Sue x
