Celebrate The Season
Good Sunday morning all! I selected a deep blue piece of pixie card as the background for today's slimline card. I cut the Slimline Starbursts in white and glued it on top of the background. Next I cut the 2022 Christmas Angel out of milk card to use as the base. I cut the Angel again out of leftover blue pixie card. I cut away just the dress on the blue die cut angel. I glued it onto the milk die cut and coloured her hair with a brown pencil. I cut the wings out of silver mirror card and glued them to the angel.I cut a white frame for the card using the Slimline Stitched Rectangles and added it with mounting foam. I seated the angel at the bottom of the card. I cut a small piece of vellum and glued it across the top of the card, tucking the ends behind the edge of the frame. I cut the Celebrate The Season out of silver mirror card and glued it to the vellum. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 4 1/2" x 9 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue, another freezing start to the day, I'm not made for the cold lol I'm really not a lover of the winter.
ReplyDeleteOut of all the inspiration you've given us this past week I'm afraid to say it's not my favourite, I know the majority love and appreciate your Angel and look forward to her every year but I'm not one that appreciates them for a reason I'm not sure of but there wouldn't be so many techniques if we all enjoyed the exact thing.
Hope it's slightly warmer where you are Sue,.
Stay warm, safe and well everyone xxx

Hi Sue. I do love your Christmas angels. Not only do they form part of the nativity story but they can also be used as a source of comfort for those who have lost someone over the previous year.

ReplyDelete“This article showcases a beautiful and creative Christmas angel card and I love the attention to detail in every step of the process. The use of alcohol ink and stamps to create the background and the combination of milk card, parchment and pearls for the angel is simply stunning. It's great to see such imagination and craftsmanship in a handmade postcard. The inscription "I believe" at the top of the card adds the perfect finishing touch. This barbershop may not be the first place you think of for inspiration, but it's nice to see the diverse interests and talents of their employees. I will definitely take this idea into account when creating my own holiday card.”
