Peace On Earth
Hi there my crafty friends! I just love this Christmas Village die set and thought it would make a perfect slimline card! I used a leftover piece of midnight blue Pixie Powdered card as the background. Using the Stitched Hills and Clouds die set, I cut three hills from white card and overlapped them on the bottom of the pixied card to look like snowy hills. Next I cut several of the houses from the set in black. I backed them with a white card to show through the windows. I added several trees around the houses and a horse drawn carriage from the Dashing Through The Snow die set. In the sky, I added the Santa Sleigh and reindeers and a couple of stars and a partial moon. I used the Peace On Earth sentiment cut in white in the upper corner. I cut a white frame using the Stitched Rectangle frames, then added a couple of white snowflakes in the lower corner of the frame. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 4 3/4" x 9" in size. All for now, Sue x

Good Morning Sue. I love the slimline cards and I was lucky enough to win the set of Slimline frames on its launch a couple of years ago ... Oh my god where has that time gone. This is a lovely winter scene Sue and I am sure it would be very pleasing to many families to receive this beautiful card in the Christmas season. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today

Morning Sue, it is unusual to see you doing a slim line card but looks gorgeous, really suits the village dies. Love Jean xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, I love this card and was all set yesterday to make my version of it. I looked at the hills and thought 'I know I have Sue's dies that will do the job' but I couldn't find them! After going through my folders three times I eventually saw them tucked in with something else - they were hiding from me - and I had run out of time to make anything. Hopefully I will have better luck this afternoon when I have finished the ironing.

Hi Sue - this is so effective made as a slimline - all the houses on a steep snowy hill, with my favourite midnight blue sky behind! I will definitely be “borrowing” this idea - thank you so much for all of your amazing inspiration. Colleen xx
