A Joyful Christmas
Good Sunday morning all! I started with a piece from my background stash. I had used Gilding Polish applied randomly across a piece of white card. I used Powder Blue, Heather and Ocean Teal Gilding Polishes. I allowed it to dry thoroughly. I cut the Radiating Background and cut it in white, leaving a wide edge on it. I glued the die cut over the Gilding Polish Background. Using the Round Corner Squares, I cut a small frame and added it with mounting foam in a diamond orientation in the centre of the background. I cut the Joyful Christmas sentiment in both white and black, shadowed it then glued it onto a strip of white vellum. I cut the end into a flag and added it across the frame then seated a white Poinsettia from the Poinsettia Trio die set on the end of the vellum. I added a silver centre to it. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Pat, above just read my mind. I ordered the squiggly background but now I want this one! I always say I really don't need more Christmas dies and then out comes the new SW collection every Christmas and I need a fresh batch of goodies for the year's makes. It really is a wonderful die as this card reflects and not just for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHave a pleasant, restful afternoon, everyone here,
Stephanie K
A lovely card & the white poinsettia is just enough without detracting from the beautiful background. Thank you Sue.

Hi Sue, I remember this card from the launch and I didn't guess that you had used gilding polishes (the close-ups show the shine beautifully), I thought you had used pixie sparkles. I do like the card and oddly enough it is just the actual die that makes my eyes go funny:-)
