Hi bloggers! I started with a piece from my background stash to use as the background for today's card. I used Beyond Blue, Groovy Grape and Heavenly Hues Pixie Sparkles, then spritzed them to create this background. I used the Outer Scalloped Rectangles as a base cut in white. I used the Stitched Rectangles to make a white frame and attached it over the background with mounting foam. I glued it on top of the Outer Scalloped Rectangles. I used several snowflakes cut in white and added them to the background. I cut the word Joyful out of white gloss card, then added a black offset shadow behind it, then added it to the shadow die from the set and attached it to the background with mounting foam. The card was completed with white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 9 1/2" x 5 1/4" in size. If you haven't checked the list of die winners, then scroll down to the post below this one to see if your name is on the list. There are still several dies that have not been claimed yet!
Another quick note to let you know that Jamie Rodgers is on Hobbymaker today at 6am to 7am and then again at 2pm to 4pm. He will be demonstrating his new Pierced Collection. Jamie always has great demos so I am sure you are going to want to tune in to watch him.
All for now, Sue x

Good morning Sue and all.
ReplyDeleteA lovely little card to keep in hand for those you had failed to make cards for.
Especially suitable for me to make when I'm feeling better and as I have used the rest of my stash it will be lovely to start a new one.
You always come up with such gorgeous cards that I wonder where you get your inspiration.
Thank you Sue.

Another beautiful card which is appropriately named. WakeyL
ReplyDeleteHi Sue. I love this pretty little card today. I don't think I would have added the backing to the sentiment as I think it makes it overshadow the pretty snowflakes though.
ReplyDeleteLisbeth
Such a wonderful card, love the background
ReplyDeleteHi Sue
ReplyDeleteA really pretty card. Love the background and it’s even better because it uses a die that I was lucky enough to win yesterday! I’m still smiling about that. Thanks again Sue.
Congratulations to the other lucky winners too. I hope you are as thrilled as I am. xxx
Another gorgeous post...Congratulations to all the winners
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, a lovely card but I find myself agreeing with Lisbeth that the backing on the sentiment is, in this case, a little overpowering the delicacy of the snowflakes.
ReplyDeleteOff shortly for a cataract op so hopefully I will be able to see tomorrow's delight, if I'm missing it is only because my eye will be recovering.
Frances
