Hi bloggers! I have a few more bird cards to share and here is one using the Woodpecker die set. I started by embossing a piece of white card with the Fanciful Flowers embossing folder. I used Tumbled Glass distress ink with a smoothie and added it around the edges of the card once embossed. Next I cut a multi-layered frame using the Square Postage Stamp Frames. I did a larger black base frame and a thin red frame on top. I sponged some more Tumbled Glass ink into the centre of a piece of white card and attached it to the frame as a backing piece. I added it on an angle to the embossed background using mounting foam to raise it. I cut the two woodpeckers from the set and coloured them with markers on their wings and head. I sponged Antique Linen ink on their bellies. I cut the tree stump in both brown and green and nipped the leaves off of the brown die cut then glued it on top of the green one, showing the leaves. I seated one bird coming out of the knot hole in the tree stump and the other one flying in from the corner with a branch coming out from there. I used the Home Tweet Home sentiment cut in red in the upper corner. The card was completed with white, black and red mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 3/4" in size.
Fabulous card Sue, really like the black and red frame.

Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, oh how pretty this card is with the stamp dies and the woodpeckers almost chatting to each other as they look out from the trees, a beautiful sample.
