Good Sunday morning all! I know that after the flurry of multiple posts for the past week and a half, a single post may seem a bit dull! I hope this card won't let you down, though, as the Stamp To Die For is so pretty! I started with the Roxy die and cut the decorative die into the upper right corner, then the lower left corner in the opposite direction. Yes, there was an over cut area, but not to worry, it was easily hidden. I backed the piece with vellum to have a soft see through to it. Next, I stamped the Roxy's Forget Me Nots STDF in black and used Distress Markers to colour it in. I used the outer die from the Roxy to cut it out and I mounted it in the middle of the card with foam. I cut the sentiment from the Garden Delight Frame and glued it into the centre of the stamped image. I added white pearls in the opposite corners as accents. The card was completed with white on white mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hello Sue and all
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful example of your STDF and colouring. Roxy is a great die and this card is fabulous. I really hope I can colour even half as well when my new stamps turn up in the post.
What a shame, 24 hours until the next post lol ! But really enjoyed the release,
Hugs

Hi Sue. What a fabulous week or so you've given us. So many gorgeous dies I thought I didn't want, until you showcased your stunning samples then the list multiplied then doubled and that's without the stamps to match ! So although it's going to take some getting use to only having one post it means less work scheduling 4 posts a day for you, but even one post per day is worth looking forward to that's for sure. Roxy, I will admit is not a favourite of mine but I know she has a place in 100's of homes, for me she over powers but saying that I've seen some spectacular cards made with her and the STDF. Whatever your plans, wherever you are hope your day is a good one xxx

Like your background Sue, and the fact that it isn't perfect but can be covered over by Roxy die is great. Always wondered if you could use bits and pieces of card stock and I now have my answer!!! Thanks for the wonderful January launch.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue. I love your gorgeous card today !!! The Roxy die is absolutely beautiful. Very classy looking. The STDF is beautiful to. I wish I was as good at colouring in as you are Sue. I am hoping to learn some useful colouring techniques this year as I have a few lovely stamps now and I just want to improve. Lovely colour combo you have used on this card Sue. I loved every minute of your amazing new die launch and I have really enjoyed seeing the way your dies mix and match together. You have some fab ideas and inspiration. I have also noticed that you have used some fantastic colour combinations with this launch, especially with your new triple layer dies. Thank you Sue for everything you have done. You have worked so very hard, and there are now so many dies on my wish list that I want !!! The mermaid sets are high on my wish list along with Millie ( which I have fallen in love with), several sentiment dies and some triple layer dies to. It is just so hard to know where to start !!! All my love from Tres X X X

Hello Sue,
ReplyDeleteHow delightful to see a card using one of your STDF. Roxy's Forget Me Nots remind me of a lovely country walk in the Springtime with all of the wildflowers starting to bloom. I have loved every stamp released with this collection and it has been my mission to use every one. I have one left to do. You make your coloring seem so easy and your results are always so pleasing to the eye. My coloring is always a challenge that I'm not giving up. I love the vellum behind your die cuts, it really adds a gentleness to the card.
Have a great day.
Beverly
Wow is this a beautiful card. I love how you combined a stamp with the dies for a design that pops!
ReplyDeleteAmazing design, so unique!! Love the contrasts!
ReplyDeleteI am always a sucker for the stamped cards and this one just shows how beautiful the die looks in conjunction to its stamp sister.Perfection.
