Hello there my crafty friends! I thought I would share a card that uses one of the Stamps To Die For from the latest release. I stamped the Lesley's Kaleidoscope stamp in black on white card and cut it out with the matching Lesley die. I used Distress markers (Picked Raspeberry, Peacock Feather, Crushed Olive and Salty Ocean) to colour it in then sprayed it with glue and coated it with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz. I used the outer decorative die from the Lesley to cut the background for it. I cut it into the sides of a white card, then added a teal and black mat to it. I cut the die once more out of another piece of white card, then added a white backing piece to it and taped it in place in the middle of the background and added a thin square frame from the Double Stitched Squares around it. I seated the die cut in the centre on foam. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the inner die from the set. I inked the edges with Peacock Feathers, then cut another inner die in black, cut it in half and used it as a shadow behind it. I seated it in the centre of the card with foam. I added small pearls to the design then completed the card with white, black and teal mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 9" in size. All for now, Sue x

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

I loved kaleidoscope titles a child you have really caught the image well lovely jewelled colours
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue. I do love teal. What a beautiful way to show your new co-ordinating stamps, I know you've always said "you're never too particular " with the way you add your colour and you keep going back to intensify certain areas of the design but your samples always look that you've spent hour's and hour's working on them. Due to severe Raynauds I find holding colouring pencils and other colouring mediums impossible but I do love looking at work that is so beautifully coloured. I'm already seeing pictures coming through using your new collection both dies and the STDF collections and I'm more inspired than ever. Today's sample is a real gift for someone. Enjoy your day whatever you're doing xxx

Mixed feelings about this card: love the background that you have created with Lesley, but don’t love that much the focal point. I am not sure about the whole design either.
