Hi bloggers! I'm showing the Iris Flower Square today done as a stained glass. I started by cutting the Iris Flower Square in white and gluing it to a piece of acetate. Working from the reverse side, I filled in areas with glue then sprinkled Polished Silk Glitter on them and tapped it off. The darkest colours need to be done first working up to the lightest, which in this case was the background on which I used Sparkle Star. I set it aside to dry overnight, then added a white backing for it and a thin black mat. Next I created a background for it using the Squared Squares. I cut three sizes together then added a thin Iris mat behind the largest one and matted the entire piece with coconut white card and seated the Iris Square in the middle. I completed the card with white, Iris and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 8" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteLoving how you brought the iris to life with your placement of different colors of Polished Silk Glitter. Until I got to your photos below the first photo, I did not notice all those lovely colors. It is tough photographing cards with acetate on them. Your iris card brought a glimpst into what may be growing in my flower garden under this snow laying around here. Winter is certainly getting longer!
