Hi there my crafty friends! I have a rather clean and simple card for you today. I started with a piece of midnight blue card and used the Flora die to emboss the shape into it several times all around the background. Next I cut one of the Flora die out of coconut white card and cut it in half and glued the halves to the left edge of the card. I added a pearl strip along the edge. I cut a pierced flag and glued the Thank You mini expression to it which I cut out of black card. Next I cut out several of the Passion Flower outer cut die in a couple of size. I used the matching Shaded Passion Flower stamps and stamped them in black. I inked the edges with Faded Jeans and assembled the pieces into a 3D flower which I seated at the end of the pierced flag. I embellished it with leaves and a satin ribbon bow. The card was completed with white and blue mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 6 3/4" x 8 1/2" in size. All for now, Sue x
Morning Sue

Sue you are awesome, day after day giving us hints tips and tutorials to make beautiful cards and even the dies to make them and from the bottom of my heart I thank you. Another stunning card and that passion flower is to die for. hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

What a beautiful start to the day Sue. Clean and simple are what I just love looking at as well as making for two reasons - 1. They are quick and easy for someone that doesn't have a very creative artistic brain like me. 2. Sometimes simplicity is the best call. Oh and 3. Just plain and pretty. This fits my number 3 it's plain but oh so pretty and I love how you've embossed and cut the flora, plain, pretty, and beautiful, and brings a smile to the start of our day, thank you xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch an innovative card! I never would have thought of cutting Flora in half and making her vertical. And everyone has mentioned the embossing. And the flower looks so interesting. And such lovely colors.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, this makes me want to try stamping flowers with type. Just scraps of wordy background dies. Or poems or something.
Best,
Donita
Morning Sue, what a lovely card, the design is fab with the focal element showing the embossed die. Love it. Have a good day everyone. Bx
