Hi crafters! I have another Cityscape Circle Scene to share with you today. I started with a piece of navy Blue Pearl card ( I know it looks black, but it isn't). I cut the largest city scene die out of black gloss card. I cut some yellow card to fit behind it so it looked like the buildings are lite up at night. I used the small circle die to cut a moon out of coconut white card. I glued these to the centre of a piece of navy blue card. Next I used the Double Pierced Noble Circles and cut three concentric frames out of white card. I added mounting foam to them all in a stair stepped manner. then attached them over my city scene. I cut the Miss You Mini Expression out of white card and added half to the upper left corner and the other part to the lower right corner. White on white mats and layers were used to complete the card. The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x 7 1/4" in size. all for now, Sue x

ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous card. I love the frame that you have created for the skyline scene, very clever indeed. it's like looking through a porthole of a large ship as it comes in to perhaps New York.

Hello Sue, I really love this card, the blue pearl paper gives it a lovely midnight sky feel and the dimension from the stepped circles is a brilliant effect, like a telescope. have a good day everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteGood Morning sue and all
ReplyDeleteWOW what a fantastic card this morning . I do love the cityscape die and I love the depth on this card which looks like looking through a porthole on a ship sailing into New York. Thank you for sharing another way to use the die.
Crafty hugs and well wishes to all.... Wendy
Very striking card! A really different card design. Debra x
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue, a really stunning card today. I do like the way you have made the frame. I tried to make a similar one to go with the stained glass sailing boat but it wasn't as successfully as yours. There's obviously a hidden secret which I'd love you to share. Hugs xx Pauline
ReplyDeleteOh wow Sue. Dark, powerful, very dramatic and almost tells a story, either the sounds of sirens raging through the main streets, or gazing out from an expensive hotel window starring at the moon making plans on how to spend your time in NYC (me, I'd be dragging 'my keeper' round looking for craft stores) lol. Now my bubble has burst I'll say it again - WOW ☺
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day whatever your plans and dreams xxx
Very striking Sue. This card is great for a guy. I will try to remember this when I want one. Thank you for the inspiration Sue.
ReplyDeleteAnnette x

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Sue. This would be my nieces choice . She would love this..... it's a lovely sample too. Short post today Sue ... sorry. We are going on one of our dance festivals with 4 other couple's..... traveling to Northampton for four days. So if I am not around to comment please forgive me. Might have to use the mobile data for my internet.....as we are staying in our caravan in a field in the middle of nowhere. Great fun and loads of dancing. Sending best wishes to everyone. Good luck to everyone in the draw this afternoon. Kind regards Ann Toppcards Leeds.

Good morning Sue Oh wow a very dramatic card today I love it the telescopic window is great & the NYC scene is fabulous
ReplyDeleteAnn I hope you have a great time in Northampton
One of my sons favourite cities and I am sure he would love it, however, sorry Sue but this is really not to my taste. I see from the comments that I am about the only person who feels this and as we often say it wouldn't do for us all to like the same thing.
ReplyDeleteHugs Helen xx
A fabulous card Sue. So different from your usual style but gorgeous just the same.

ReplyDeleteHi Sue

Margaret x
Hi Sue, a lovely card. A beautiful City Scape scene which is very striking with lots of dimension.
ReplyDeleteI do like this City Scape die and I love this card But as I don’t make cards to sell I can’t see me using it
ReplyDeleteHi Sue, this card is most atmospheric and just like Heather and Wendy I felt that I was looking through a porthole as the liner I am travelling on is moving in to dock. I have never done this but I can dream can't I? The blue pearl card does show in some of the pictures and it is perfect for the backdrop to the scene.
ReplyDeleteFrances
Fabulous dimensions!!!
ReplyDeleteLove this card. Think I will be buying cityscapes. xx
ReplyDeleteHello Sue
ReplyDeleteVery dramatic I don't have the skyline dies because I don't sell my cards.I wonder how it would look with one of your Christmas scene dies?
I really love city landscape silhouette and the dimension aspect is very simple but clever looking.
ReplyDeleteAs a child I spent my summers in NYC with my grandparents and I always had a blast. I love this die. Good associations and one of the best cards I ever made personally was with this die set.
ReplyDeleteGood wishes for everyone,
