Wednesday Weekly Card Giveaway

Hi bloggers!  I almost forgot that I had an extra of this card, just ready to give away!  I started by cutting an oval aperture in the top pf a piece of milk card.    I embossed the aperture with the Jacobean Embossing folder for texture.  I cut four of the Ornamental Accents out of milk card and attached them to the inside of the oval so the tips touched in the centre.  I added a piece of milk card as a backing.  Using the Double Pierced Oval Nobles, I created a multi layered fame using both milk and blush card.  I added them with foam around the aperture.  I cut four more of the same die from the Ornamental Accents out of blush card.  I nipped away the tails of each of them and placed two going the same direction on each side.  I made a flower using the Exquisite Poppies out of milk card and snipped into each of the petals to give the flowers a different look.  I inked it around the edges with Spun Sugar and added it with Olive Branch accents in the middle of the border.  I stamped a sentiment and cut it out and added it with foam in the centre of the focal element.  I added pearl corners to the upper areas on the card.  The card was completed with milk and blush mats.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  Leave a comment if you would like to be included in the drawing to win this card!  All for now, Sue x

  1. Gorgeous giveaway card, one very lucky person coming soon.
Elaine, I'm glad Andrew is home and his sense of humour intact too, what a man.
Sharon, good that the clips are out but you must rest that leg as told.
June, you are in the wars, I hope the morphine helps and that you are not getting an infection in the wound, it was a nightmare with your last surgery. A good hug to help you.
Tina, at least Peter wants to be up and about, that's a good sign.
Pat, wishing little Sarah all the best for today. I still can't understand why the hospital can't coordinate better, more disappointment for this brave little girl and her family.
Thank you ladies for all your kind words yesterday, I was blushing.
Laine hope Mum is feeling better, Tina and Mick, Yvonne, Lordaine, Betty, Wheeley And all poorly Wilsonettes, all in my thoughts.
    Hugs to all.

  18. Good morning Sue and crafters all,
Lovey card with soft colours. The Jacobean background looks pretty. Love the way you have cut into the poppies and coloured the tips of the petals.
Pam - on what a day yesterday!!!! - Peter got up to find his right leg swollen and feeling hot!! District Nurse came and commented on it so rang our friendly GP,he contacted the nurse then rang asking us to go to the surgery!! On examination decided to send him to DVT clinic, so off we went at 3:30 his leg was 10cm bigger round the calf than the other. Had ultrasound and thankfully no DVT or blood clot found. We go back next week.
June Smith - hope the morphine helps control the pain and you soon feel the effects.
To all you lovely ladies on the blog thank you for all your good wishes.
Love and crafty hugs to all,

  22. Morning Sue. This is the very reason why I'm saving every spare penny, because I keep chuntering on about how these frames are as important as the packs of card we buy to start the process of making our projects. Not only do they make the most beautiful frame to show off a beautiful central focal piece you've got the dies to make your own circular shaped card/projects without going out to buy them. It's like having the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers but not having the right vase to show the best of them, I just adore framing my cards now but only have the two square collections and the rectangle and I have to stop myself framing each and every card I make so they don't all look similar, the oval frame on this gorgeous giveaway draws you in to the rest of the card it's absolutely stunning and Brilliant Beverly from the facebook appreciation group has made something similar I think and like all her work (which I hope you've seen Sue) is truly outstanding, I'm as much in ore of her work as I am with yours and we all keep saying she would be such an asset to the CEDT it's like she's been lucky enough to clone the artistic side of your brain lol, oh wowzer imagin that, all my crafting worries would be banished if I could own some of your artistic brain cells lol.
Anyway, whoever has this gem fall through their letterbox it will be like owning a Picasso (and I don't mean the Citroen Picasso) priceless.
Now I've gone off piest again which I always do (one day I will just leave a comment in connection with the card and that will be me done) !! Lol.
So my usual hugs are on their way still full of bugs and boogas so you can flush if you want and hope you have an exciting day creating with your brand new collection (at least we have a little time to get out heads together to arrange the biggest heist ever to share enough money around to treat ourselves to the whole cabudal) 💰💰💰💸💸💸💸💼🚔
Can't belive our Phill doesn't know the story behind your Maggie die - how rude lol.
    Have a good un xxxx

  44. Such a pretty card for the giveaway, Sue, love that embossing folder. Don't have any of the elements except the poppy which - like the lattice window - is loved and used so much, perhaps all-time favourites. Together with the nobles, of course, but don't - YET - have the ovals! Really this card should be for our lovely Pam - blush pink!!
Pat - so sorry Sarah hasn't got all her appointments, the mind boggles especially when they know what a long journey has to be made. Should imagine it's an expensive not to say difficult trip too.
Hugs to all, particularly our poorly ones.

For now my comments will remain brief. So knackered at the moment. Since the lost key incident, Jake has promoted himself to chief security guard performing his duties like Hitler on speed!!
We are changing the front door locks but until then Jake is insisting that the door is bolted. Consequently this has created a job of bolting the door when Jake leaves for work at 4.30 in the morning and then again when George leaves at 6.30. Obviously it should be George's responsibility to bolt the door after Jake leaves but it is such a nightmare trying to wake him that it has become my temporary new job by default!
This is impacting my already disfunctional sleep pattern hugely. I do not know if I am coming or going. Halloween is fast approaching and appropriately I am working on my zombie character without having to try too hard with surprisingly effective results x
Fingers crossed - locks will be sorted next week and I can resume human form in time x
So I will send everyone happy thoughts and lots of love, especially all my besties on the blog. Sorry about not knowing what is going on at the moment but I will catch up when normality resumes in this disrupted household x
    Take care

I hope all is going well with everyone, with regards to me, well the morphine does help with the pain, was up at 3 this morning but went back to bed at 5 for a couple of hours which helped. Wound still leaking but the nurse has been every day and they are not worried about it. Clips come out tomorrow (I thought it was today, what a dimwit I am).

  127. Hello Sue
I do love your tonal cards they give a card so much class. June when you go and have your clips out it might be a good idea to mention after your last op your wound took time to heal. Elaine poor Andrew I hope he feels better soon. Pat it is terrible the hospital can't get their act together Sarah is only a child.

  129. Sue and followers, just a quick update on Emily. We had a really bad scare this past week when her oxygen levels went below 30. Saturday morning was really bad. We almost lost her. But God took over and got her through. We know He did because the doctors at Arnold Palmer on Orlando still don't have a clue what was wrong with her and why. But that's okay because our God is good and He turned her around. Thank you all so much if you've had Emily on your prayer list. I know Sue has, and I want to keep you informed. As for the card this week, lovely as usual and hope for it as usual. #GodstrongmadeEmstrong. Myra from Florida

  130. Hi Sue
This card is gorgeous. I especially love the colors. I wish there was a place here in USA to buy the cardstock as well as some other items from Creative Expressions. Thank goodness there's no problem buying your wonderful dies. Thanks for sharing!

  133. Good evening lovely Sue and her crafty crew!

Fabulous ice cream toned card, i really love the diversity of the Ornamental Accents it can be utilised in so many ways. Every time I see the oval Nobles i lust after them...i have both sets of rectangles, background rectangles, circles and squares but have yet to add the ovals to my collection:-( I always find myself buying the rest of the collections because you can get quite a few dies for the price of a noble set, but I should prioritise the basics instead. The poppy dies are also so versatile and a real asset to any collection. A truly lovely card that deserves to be framed and given pride of place....in my craft room:-)
Had a really busy few days running around like a headless chicken, really needing to slow down but there's no respite on the horizon as yet unfortunately....rather that than sitting idle i guess, but it means that i have had no opportunity to start my Christmas cards:-( I foresee it being a last minute rush job yet again!
Ive tried to get up to speed with everyone's news but it has been a challenge remembering all the information but here goes,
June, you poor wee soul, i do hope that your wound isn't infected, especially with the price of honey these days:-) Great that you're managing crutches though, onwards and upwards!
Pat, cant that hospital get their act together, i mean its a little girl we are dealing with who has to travel huge distances for these appointments, it really mak´s me despair! Hope little Sarah is okay though.
Elaine, boy Andrew is having a time of it! That must have been one nasty fall to need so many stitches...good that they seem to have solved his stomach complaint though, hope his appetite improves and he gets some colour back in his cheeks.
Tina, luckily with your great culinary skills Peter is in no danger of going hungry or losing weight!
Yvonne, you must be exhausted, I would be a total basket case if my sleep was interrupted every night like that! Such a shame that you're not up for our usual bitchfest but hopefully you'll revive sufficiently after the locks are changed. Im getting the impression that Jake maybe on his high horse with George again, hope things settle down again soon honey. Sending hugs
Maria, hope you're feeling better after your injectionsxxx
Wheely, thinking of you and Billy after his health problems, hope you are both feeling okay.
Pam, thanks for thinking of my Mum, i really appreciate your kind thoughtsxxx
Deb C, FIL really seems to have settled into his new home so hopefully life will calm down for you now giving you time to do the things that you love.
Tracy, enjoy your last week of freedom, you really are being thrown in at the deep end during the pre Christmas build up but im positive you'll cope, you're a trouper!
Hugs to my besties, P, theresa, myra, maureen, lynda, linda, lorraine, norah and anyone else in need of a cuddle.

Your Ornamental Accent dies are fab Sue. I think they look so pretty and delicate. I love how you have used them on your card today. I particularly love how you have arranged them inside your Oval Frames. I think it gives the framed background area a very pretty effect. Again I am loving the blush and milk colours. I think this is a truly elegant, classy and beautiful card. Thank you for sharing Sue. Sending lots of love to you from Tres x x x
