Thinking Of You

Hello crafters!  This is one of my favourite styles of cards, can't really say why, but it just sings to me!  I started by cutting two Scandinavian Borders out of coconut white card and glued them top and bottom to another piece of coconut white card.  Next I cut just the decorative die from the Hannah die set in white.  I backed it with a sticky adhesive sheet and glittered all of the fall away areas with Diamond Snow.  I used the Ornate Pierced Design Noble to cut a frame to sit over the glittered background.  before I removed it from the die, though, I inked it with Shaded Lilac distress ink.  I mounted it with foam for dimension and trimmed away any prts showing from the edge of the frame.  I seated it in the background between the bordered edges.  I used the Perfect Peonies to make two flowers, which I edged with Shaded Lilac before sugaring them with Iced Snow.  I seated them on a seam binding messy bow tied from white seam binding dyed with the same distress ink.  I added some swirls from the Splendid Swirl set and leaves from the Blushing Rose set. I stamped my sentiment and cut it with the Pierced Flags with a matching mat coloured with Distress ink.   I cut and sugared two butterflies from the Delicate Garden Frame die set and glued them on the other side of the frame.  I finished the card in my usual style.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4" x  8 1/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

  10. Lots going on here today, Sue, pretty card with fab floral embellishment. As ever, perfect colour matching - all just lovely.
Pet friends - thanks for kind words! Sadly, kidney failure is a common cat condition, only helped by special diet, but they don't like it normally. Just knowing when things are becoming unacceptable is all that can be done. Meanwhile, Pushy is needing and asking for lots of cuddles, so much more sitting around is happening. No crafting.
    Hugs all round.
Sue, so looking forward to your next shows.

Hi to all my blog friends, hope you are all ok. Good news ( well it is for me!) , had to take Scamp to vet yesterday for further X-ray on her hip and the vet put the fear of God in me as she said Scamp had developed a heart murmur and they might not be able to anaesthetise her! This wasn't her usual vet and I was so worried. Well, when I went back to reception I saw her usual vet who was just about to go into surgery and told her and she was very surprised but said to leave it with her. A few long hours later, got phone call to say that Scamp had had the X-ray and her hip had healed well and that the two vets who have dealt with her during this traumatic five weeks couldn't hear any murmur and there was nothing to worry about. It was probably because she was so worked up about being back at the vets. Well, I was so relieved and it was brilliant news as Scamp is no longer confined to her cage. She spent last night either hiding or investigating places. I suppose it was so strange for her. It was like when we first brought her to our house from the rescue centre years ago. I'm pleased to say, she is back to her usual self this morning thankfully. The cage is going into the garage today- yeah!

P in Wales, sorry to hear about Pushy, I know exactly how you are feeling. I thought Scamp was developing kidney problems so when she was having anaesthetic the first time I asked them to do a blood test on her. Fortunately it was ok. Give Pushy lots of cuddles from Scamp and I xxx
Beth, hope Lauren is continuing to do well. Xxx

  79. Good morning Sue and the Wilsonettes,
Oh Sue it is so great to see a Sue original take center stage again. Todays card all the old Wilsonettes can tell from miles away that Sue has been in the building as it has that Sue Wilson signature about it. I think with that hint of blue about it that it could be for a beautiful wedding card bringing them luck at the same time. Thank you Sue for such a bonnie card to brighten up our day with.
Alison(Alimecca) i so glad that your wee bundle of mischief has been given a clean bill of health and that they can get back to normal again. Mum had the same sort of over kill when she took Hamish to the vet as it was a different vet from normal and they managed to put the fear of god into her that her wee companion wouldn't come back out again. Thankfully when she phoned up later it was her own vet (Hamishs favourite one out of them all) that had seen to him and Hamish was back up sniffing every where to see who had been in while he had been out for the count. I don't know why they do things like that to people, as to all caring pet owners start to fret and some like Mum really get ill with it. FOr clever people some of them can be awfully stupid and thick. Tia sends woofs to Scamp to say hello.
Well my "little" boy is fair looking forward to Sunday when he can roll his Easter egg down the stairs. Now i know that normally it is down a hill but the hill in our village is Mum's street and the fly up and down there in their cars like they are in the Indy 500 race, so Rory because of his autism has always rolled it down the stairs where i know he won't get run over, except perhaps with Tia trying to get to the broken egg first, lol.
Have a good weekend everyone and hugs to all the Wilsonettes that are need of one,
    love and crafty hugs
