Hi there my crafty friends! It seems like forever since my last card giveaway so I hope you like this one. I started with a piece of coconut white card and used the Santorini decorative insert without the cutting edge in the top of the card. I cut a strip of card about an inch and a half wide and used the Scored Lines embossing folder on it for the bottom part of my channel card. I added mounting foam to both pieces for dimension and added them to a piece of bluish purplish card (from my stash), leaving about an inch gap for my channel. Next I cut three of the Splendid Swirls in white and attached them across my channel opening, slightly overlapping them. I stamped my sentiment and cut it out with the inside die from the Kefalonia set. I used Shaded Lilac ink on it before removing it from the die. I seated it on to a mat that was first cut out with shape from the Kefalonia and then I used the next die down in the set to emboss the inner detail to it. I added them both in the centre with mounting foam. I completed the card with a couple of pearl corners as embellishments, then added my usual matting and layering with piercing of course!. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 3/4" in size. If you would like to be entered in the drawing to win this card, just leave me a comment. The winner will be posted on Saturday's blog post. Don't forget too that Friday will be the die winners announced, so lots of reasons to pop by the blog! All for5 now, Sue x

Good morning Sue & all...I haven't been commenting on your blog for very long...but there are always so many reasons to come back every day...
ReplyDeleteFirstly to see your card & die designs which are always so consistently STYLISH, SOPHISTICATED, REFINED, TASTEFUL & above all SUPERIOR (now try & get through the door...LOL...No Seriously Sue you sincerely deserve all the above comments and much, much more x).
Secondly I find your videos so moving and Inspiring...simply because you are so gifted and take much of your precious time to record & share them.
Thirdly I love to read the positive and inspiring comments from your avid followers...I'm sure that fills your heart to the brim knowing so many care about and appreciate what you do for them.
Perhaps I can throw in a fourth, but it is certainly least important than the first, second and third ,I too would also love the chance to win a die or card but as "craftysuetoo" so rightly expressed "you do a Giveaway every day" with your generosity...So I will close this with grateful thanks for sharing yet another stunning card with...there isn't anything I do not like about it...Have a great day (albeit very gusty)Sue and to all...Love Beth B x x x

ReplyDeleteThe bluish purple card reminded me of a darker version of your Periwinkle cardstock. Any chance of sourcing it...? Thank for yet another gem! Hugs, Karen x
Just love that lilac card.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Sue and fellow Wilsonettes,
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card Sue and the lilac that you have edged the sentiment with is a lovely compliment to the blue/lilac that you have mounted it onto and the background colour. Against the white it makes it a stunning card to look at. Now is the wonder if i can use one of my dies that i have to do this very pretty card. Thank you Sue for the inspiration that you keep coming up with. xx
Waiting in for someone coming and they don't turn up at the time they said is fustrating. I texted beloved daughter to come along and sit here while i went down to mums and she hasn't even bothered texting back. Now it was her that arranged this for today and knew that i had a few things to do down there for the woman coming and she is not bothering her wee shirt tail. You know sometimes i could go mad at her as she thinks she is the only one that is going through it the now with her pregnancy ( i wish she had been as uncomplicated and no issues when i was carrying her as this wee fella she is carrying has been then i might not have been in and out of the hospital staying, or seeing the heart specialist because of my ticker)oooo sometimes my daughter doesn't know just how well off she is.
ANyway now that i have got that off my chest i shall leave you all until tomorrow and we will see what this lady says. Sending hugs to all my Angels both on blog and not, and hope that those that can't make it the now are getting better and stronger by the day.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (glenochil)

Such a pretty card and the embossing is so sharp. I, too, forget to emboss in to the card like lots of other Wilsonettes. How I would love to win one if your gorgeous cards one day as would loads of other followers of your Blog. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card again with your lovely dies doing all the hard work. It would appear that most of us forget about how effective just embossing looks. I just need to get into the habit of trying something different. Anniekk xxx
ReplyDeleteHello Sue,
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful card today. I really like the way your channel cards add interest and also bring out the background colour without detracting from the focal element.
Good luck to everyone in the draw.
Love and hugs
