Hi blog friends! Black, white and gold are the colours for today's card in case your monitor makes it look different! I embossed the gold background using the Flora embossibility folder. I extended it to do the entire background, even though it doesn't line up exactly. I cut two of the large Vintage Motifs out of white card. I cut them both in half, slightly offset. I mounted the two larger ones on the top of the card and rthe two smaller halves on the bottom. I stamped my sentiment on a strip of gold card and matted it diagonally across the card, covering the edges of the motifs. I added two strips of black card with mounting foam to frame the diagonal strip. I matted the entire background with a piece of white card for balance. A pierced mat of black card was added to the back. I tied a double bow using the gold silky crush ribbon. I made a six petal flower out of black cardstock. When the glue was dry, I dipped it in melted ultra thick embossing powder to create a porcelain flower for the centre of my bow. I love the way these flowers look! I added two black pearl stick pins to the bow and a swirl of black rhinestones to the top of the card to finish it off. I hope you like it! All for now, Sue x
Another stunning card today, love the colour combo, the bow is delicious and that black rose button is beautiful. A total hit, Sue

Morning Sue - I love the rose but think the sentiment band is too wide and heavy - perhaps it might have been better either thinner and/or with fancy edges? Just a thought

I love the diagonal sentiment band across the card. Very effective. The only problem I have when I do big bows like yours and place them at the edge of the card is trying to fit them in the envelope!
