Wishes For A Beautiful Birthday

Hello there my crafty friends!  I started with a piece of white card.  I used the inner die from the Hazel die set and randomly cut it into the card all over.  I covered another piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet and attached it behind the die cut sheet.  I used Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz all over the remaining sticky areas.  Next I cut the Hazel die with a piece of black card and a piece of white card underneath.  I used the white embossed copy to colour the image with alcohol ink markers.  I glued the black die cut on top, then used the inner oval die to cut the centre out of the die cut image.  I added mounting foam to the back to raise it.  I stamped my sentiment from the Sending Sunshine die set and added it to the die.  I used clear micro beads on the centres of the flowers.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  8"  in size.

All for now, Sue x

  1. Good morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, gorgeous, especially with the glittery backdrop on the oval shapes, when I see cards like this I wished I had 2 or 3 sets of the same die and it wouldn't take so long to cut all the ovals into the card ha ha. The Hazel die is a really lovely set, I have made a few cards using this one, looks nice if you cut the die cut in half and add them at opposite ends of a square so the cut line is at the end of a square, you could then paper piece different colours back into the die, I do love paper piecing. Am I rambling Sue sorry, my mind is working overtime when I see cards like this.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  3. Hi Sue. What a pretty card today. Love the background on the card today. I do like these all white backgrounds which show off the pop of colour on the main image which is so effective.

  7. Good Morning Sue and all that visit this morning. Oh my. What a brilliant idea for a background. Sue ... You open up all possibilities with your dies. I would never have thought about this for a background. You do realise that most of today I will be looking through all my dies to see what will make a good one 😂. Seriously though this is a really lovely card. Thankyou Sue. Sending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today. Please stay safe and well 🙏.
