Most Wonderful Time Of The Year

Hello bloggers!  I cut the Stained Glass Bells die out of Antique Gold card and a piece of black card underneath.  I used the gold die cut as the outline, but glued the black die cut (which was only the outline of the die) to the back of it.  I cut the die a few more times to get the fall away pieces for paper piecing.  I cut it in green and red for the holly and berries.  I cut the centre die in red and backed it in black and added it to the paper pieced outer die.  I cut the bells in gold card and paper pieced them too using gold, black, red and green card.  I added that to the top of the layered die cuts.  I cut a piece of white card as the background and added it with mounting foam.  The sentiment was cut from the Christmas Wordie sheets and added below the Stained Glass Bells.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 3/4"  x  8 1/4"  in size.  All for now Sue x

  13. Hi Sue. What a really eye-catching card today. I do like the effect created with paper piecing but I no longer have the ability to re-create it. The beauty is that there are plenty of other techniques that can be used to decorate these die cuts. ( I am thinking about the ways that Jayne Nestorenko came up with when I first started crafting)

  14. Hi Sue
A beautiful Christmas card in traditional festive colours, a lot of die cutting and a lot of patience for all the paper piecing but it was worth it

    Love and hugs to everyone

  20. Hi Sue, a lovely traditional style Christmas card. I don't know if I have the patience for that much cutting and paper piecing but if I did it would be well worth it for the result.
