Best Wishes

Good Sunday morning all!  I started today's card by cutting the Slimline Anniversary Hearts two times out of Ruby red card.  I covered a piece of white card with a sticky adhesive sheet then I added both of the panels to it.  I coated the remaining exposed adhesive with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  Next I cut the Lace Rose heart die out of white card.   I added it to the scalloped outline die cut in white and then glued it to the middle of the card.  I cut the Best Wishes sentiment die out of black card and glued it to the heart.  The card was completed with white, red and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 3/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Hi Sue. Firstly I forgot to mention how beautifully your grandchildren made yesterday's background, anyone would think they have a wonderful creative grandma in the family. I'm looking forward to the day Lottie is introduced to this magical powder, as she's SO enthusiastic about anything she puts her mind to I'm thinking I'd kiss my full sprinkler pot goodbye in one foul swoop lol still, one day, and I honestly cannot wait.
To today's inspiration, for me it's a little busy with the red cardstock but I think a tone on tone white on white would look amazing, even milk or even silver cardstock I just personally think the red is too strong to use so much. But I do love the design, it really is pretty.
Have a good day everyone sending hugs to all that comment today xxx

    1. Hi kitty. Unfortunately I've never had the pleasure, honour or delight to ever meet Sue, the biggest regret of my life.
Yesterday I failed to read Sue's post properly and obviously didn't read that on a visit from her grandchildren recently they had a craft session together and they made yesterday's background with Sue's Pixie powders which Sue then used on the inspirational card yesterday. It may explain better if you re-read yesterday's comment from Sue. I wish we had met though Kitty. Sorry if I mislead you xxx

  9. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, another beautiful creation, love the white glitter background and the red hearts panel but the best for me is the centre heart, I have the dies so will add this to my to do pile.

Steph I have had the pleasure of meeting Sue a few times at Alexander Palace (Ally Pally) oh what a lovely person she really is, o kind, thoughtful, an always had loads of visitors watching her craft, the techniques and tips she provided have been invaluable. Those were the god old days ha ha.

Unfortunately the craft shoes at Ally Pally are run by a different company now and of course Sue is back in the USA.

Hope you are feeling better xx

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  13. I love this card, the colours are gorgeous, I just wish I made cards big enough to take the two panels. They are perfect together. Thank you Sue.

Like others I have had the pleasure of meeting Sue at Alexandra Palace, such a generous lady! Unfortunately I live. In the north West Midlands now & craft shows are few & far between in this area, as are craft shops!

  14. Hi Sue, I have just read June Smith's comment saying how she had met you at Ally Pally and, as I used to meet you there too (in fact I used to go straight to the Particraft stall before it got too crowded). I am surprised I didn't meet June.
Anyway, back to today's adorable card. So pretty in red and white and great inspiration.

  16. Hi Sue
A beautiful romantic card with the heart panels. I’m just the tiniest bit jealous of all you lucky ladies who got to see Sue in person, I had always hoped that one day I’d get to Ally Pally but it wasn’t to be.

    Love and hugs to everyone

  18. Hi Sue

A gorgeous card. I love the colours and the dies used. It’s perfect.

As people seem to be discussing having the pleasure of meeting you Sue, I will join in and say I too had the pleasure of meeting you on quite a few occasions at Ally Pally too. As others have said a very, kind, patient and generous lady who unbelievably can remember people she has met even just once before and their names. I was very nervous and starstruck when I first met you, but you put me at ease and gave me that great big welcoming smile. You even very kindly put aside some magnetic sheets for me to buy when I got there as I emailed the day before to ask if you’d be selling any. How very kind. I also had the please of meeting lots of others on this blog (past and present) who had also turned out to see you at Ally Pally. I with others even wore ‘Wilsonette’ badges. Great memories, just a shame it’s now in the past.

    Love Helen xxx

  19. Hi Sue - I absolutely love this, and for me the colours are just perfect too. Beautiful! Further to today’s discussion about your shows Sue, I really, really hope you will be able to come back to the UK to do some shows, or film some more demo videos, either from the US or here - you are by far the best demonstrator I have ever watched, full stop! You have an unusual ability to give me the confidence to try new techniques and not to worry about messing them up! You are very definitely missed! Colleen xx

  20. A very pretty card. I like everything about it.

Oh what memories. Meeting you at Ally Pally was one of our highlights of the day.
I was always so surprised when you remembered my name and I was the shy one in the background(probably with Helen) while the others was there in the front asking all kind of questions and you always had the time to answer them all.I have one of your cards in my possession and I will treasure it forever.
    Have a lovely day Wilsonette's. Maria x

  21. Hi Sue, a beautiful card and I love it.
I too have been fortunate enough to meet you, most memorably in Aberdeen (10 years ago!) when I was with dianeandchipps and we attended a workshop. You were so kind and helpful and the card I made is treasured and hangs on the wall in my craftroom as inspiration. We do miss seeing your lovely smile on our screens.
