Best Wishes

Hello friends!  Today's card uses just a single die.  I  cut the Heart Blooms dies several times out of white card, using all the dies in the set.  I began to cut them again out of red card and then nipped off the hearts and glued them onto the white die cuts.  I will say that I did the cut the larger flowers first out of red card, but it proved to be very time consuming so I used a red marker on the remaining flowers and that worked great.  I found a red marker that matched my cut flowers so you can hardly tell the difference. (I tell you this so you don't waste your time trying to cut and glue them onto the flowers!)  I glued all the flowers onto a piece of white card and I added some Water Crystals as accents.  I cut the Best Wishes sentiment from the Everyday Wordie sheets and attached it with mounting foam.  I added the entire piece onto a larger piece of white card and ran double sided tape around the edges.  I sprinkled Iced Snow all over it.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  7 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow what a beauty, I can understand what you mean about cutting them all out and sticking them on, yes it would take ages but the matching red pen is brilliant, I do love this and yes I do have this die so I will be making this as soon as I can, thank you for the inspiration. And the sparkles xx

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  5. Ohhh wow Sue you're a sucker for making things difficult for yourself lol, if I was planning to give a card like this with the first part of your design method, I'd have to be madly madly crazy in love with the recipient lol, now the 'confession' that involved the marker pen seems such a grand idea showing no difference between the first few red cut and stick...... BUT.....you have brains sizzling all over the world now, (not a pretty sight ) just cut a few of the following for the 'milestone anniversaries' pearl cardstock, Ruby Red, silver, gold etc and just add the odd different colour heart here and there or like you've done, colour every heart with the colour that represents the anniversary. I wish I had an outlet for my cards like I use to this is just one of many die collections I'd love to add to my gift wish list, but until I'm in that fortunate position again I can't justify spending money on beautiful precious pieces of metal if I'm not going to use them and it really really saddens me.
Until tomorrow I wish you both a lovely warm caring day full of sunshine like we're having here, and also thanks for the constant ideas and inspiration you pass on to us day after day.
To all Wilsonettes that walk by this relaxing perfect place, have a lovely day with friends or family or both or even chatting away to your faithful mangle friend whilst enjoying your most favourite pass time xxx

This is so pretty, as Steph says, add different colours
for anniversaries & you have some great cards. The water
    crystals add a lovely touch.

  9. Morning Sue, a really striking and beautiful card. Glad to read that you decided to use the marker and not stick all the hearts individually, that would have been very time consuming, but very rewarding too. Take care everyone. Bx

  10. Hi Sue. Love these delicate flowers - they are so pretty. I may not have the patience to add all the hearts in coloured card so may have to resort to colouring them in (thanks for sharing that tip)

  11. Hi Sue
    Happy Saturday everyone x
Oh wow - absolutely stunning x
At first glance my thoughts were - fabulous but there’s no way I’d spend that much time cutting and sticking all those teeny weeny little red hearts. Haven’t got the patience. And then I read the instructions - I’m there - I can cheat- happy days!
Just received an invite to a surprise Ruby Anniversary party so thank you for the inspiration. Gorgeous card x
A bbq today - I’m not allowed near any of my sons bbq’s so all I have to do is make some coleslaw then I can sit back, relax and eat. Hope everyone else is enjoying the sun x
    Take care everyone x
Sending positive thoughts to all x
    Crafty hugs x

  13. A beautiful card. My first thought was I would need all day to stick those hearts on. Sue has so much patience, then I saw the ‘cheat’ method, so that was much easier. Thank you Sue for the inspiration but also for telling us your ‘cheat’.
