Happy Birthday To You

Hello crafters!  I selected a piece of custard card for the background.  I used the Looped Ovals and cut a double white mat and added it to the centre of the card.  Using the Double Stitched Ovals, I cut a thin yellow frame and added mounting foam to the back of it.  I embossed a piece of white card with the Rose Bed embossing folder and attached the frame over it.  I nipped away the excess card then attached it to the Lopped Oval mats.  I inked the Periwinkle Stampcuts die with a black water based ink pad and ran it through the die cutting machine.  I used alcohol based markers to colour it.  I added it to the inside of the frame.  I cut the sentiment from the Birthday Wordie sheets and added it below the focal element with mounting foam. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7 1/4"  x  8 1/2"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

  16. Hi Sue
    Happy Wednesday everyone x
Yellow always makes me smile and the custard card is such a pretty yellow. The Periwinkle stampcuts die was in a launch I was not around for but it’s beautiful and really packs a punch. Makes a fabulous facial point. The looped ovals take the matting and layering to another level. Todays card is bringing a little bit of spring to an otherwise grey day x
Fluffycat and Pat L - hoping I’m back for longer this time x
    Take care everyone x
Sending positive thoughts to all x
