Make A Wish

Good Sunday morning all!  I used the Looped Squares to cut two sizes of the them.  I matted the two Looped Squares then cut off the other sides, leaving just a pointy part to them that I attached on top of a piece of the black and white striped paper from the Monochrome Paper Pad.  On top of that, I added seven of the candles from the Birthday Candles set.  I cut three of them out of blue card and four of them out of red card.  I added the candles without the flame to seven candles cut in white.  I coloured the frames and glittered them with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I alternated the colours of the candles in a V formation.  I used the Make A Wish sentiment cut in black and glued it to the top of the card.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  7"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Hi Sue.
I just love today's birthday inspiration, the pop of colour is just beautiful, a really happy way to send birthday wishes and love. In the past when I've been lucky enough to have won a die I've always hoped I could do it justice and I've always mentioned that in my thank you post, the Looped square is one I won, and you've proved my point, I'd have never had thought of using it in the position you have, it's a really quaint and delicate die collection, time for me to use it properly and do it and your name justice.
Hope you have a lovely day, and love to everyone that feels low or hurts xxx

  11. Hi Sue
    Happy Sunday everyone x
When is a looped square not a looped square?! What a fun and ‘edgy’ way to use the looped squares. Looks so good. I love a monochrome card but with a pop of colour - so eye catching. This is a brilliant man card - always struggle with those men!
Take care one and all x
Sending you all positive thoughts x

  25. Hi Sue, a lovely card and a great way to use your dies. When used this way the looped squares remind me of the lace edging on a handkerchief. Your birthday candles are so very useful and I like the black and white striped paper, it adds a masculine touch.
