A Joyful Christmas
Hello there my crafty friends! I started by taping the Holly stencil to a piece of white card. I sprinkled Emerald Green, Pale Olive and Golden Mint Pixie Powders all over the stencil. I gave a very light spritz of water to activate them. I let it sit for a bit then carefully removed the mask, leaving the design in white. I set it aside to dry overnight, then used it as the background once completely dry. I added a green frame to it by cutting the Stitched Rectangles, then adding a thin white frame on top using the Slimline Essential Frames. I cut the A Joyful Christmas sentiment out of antique gold card. I glued it to the lower corner of the frame. I cut two of the Christmas Embellishments in gold and glued them to the top two corners. The card was completed with white and gold mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 5" x 9 1/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Hi Sue. Fur-baby had a sleep in this morning!
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame the sentiment doesn't stand out more but I do like the design. Its taking forever to complete this order, I'm spending most of the day cutting out repeat dies, cute penguins 🐧 and alphabet dies as the customer insisted on having all the names on each card!!! So Sam's little alphabet dies are certainly working hard and my fingers and joints are so incredibly sore now, onwards and upwards lol.
Gosh Trish, all this waiting, if only you could get something from your gp to get you through the festive season just so you can relax and enjoy your family, thinking of you.
Love to all, keep safe and well friends xx

Morning Sue, I think the background is lovely, but maybe either a different colour of even a larger sentiment would do it for me. Sorry Sue as you work so hard for us. It'd me just being ,'picky'.

ReplyDeleteAnother great background today, I think,
like some of the others that the sentiment
gets lost a bit. Perhaps on a backing??

Hi Sue, a very nice card indeed. On first view I thought you had used gilding flakes and a holly die cut and was pleasantly surprised to see it was a stencil and pixies. I do agree with others that the sentiment seems a little lost and I think I would have maybe put it on a vellum flag
