Greetings

Hi crafters!  I cut the Swirls Background out of white card.  I attached a white backing piece to it.  Next I cut the background four more times, once with aqua card, once with lime green card, once with seafoam green card and once with soft blue.  I used the fallaway pieces from each of the die cuts and I randomly paper pieced them back into place in the original white die cut.  Next I used the Round Corner Squares and made a multi-layered white frame and added it over the background with mounting foam.  I cut the word "Greetings" out of soft blue card and then added it onto a shadow backing piece cut in white.  I added it to the inside of the frame with mounting foam.  I cut two flowers using the Poinsettia Trio die set.  I added gold centres to them, then attached them to the lower corner of the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 7"  x  7"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

  1. Morning Sue. If contemporary is the right word then that's what comes to mind, if I've not chosen the right word to describe this lovely happy inspiration then I'll choose modern, bright and ideal for teenagers and young at heart (that rules me out then lol. It's a lovely way to start our day in the UK, brightens up a dark dull wet morning.
Love to all. Hope everyone is OK. My thoughts are with you June Horrocks xxx

  3. Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, a stunning creation, love the coloured background on this one, if it was me I would have left the flower off as I think the background design and sentiment stand on their own, only my opinion Sue.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  8. Hi Sue. I do like this swirls background die as it is so versatile. You can use it to make a really contemporary Christmas card as you have done here, or it could be used for other occasions throughout the year.

A gorgeous stylish post. Not sure if the flowers were needed but they are easily optional. Love the colours used for the paper piecing...
