Christmas Greetings

 
Hello crafters!  I started today's card by cutting the Swirls Background out of both white and black.  I used the black die cut as an offset shadow behind the white one, then added a red card backing to it.  I cut it diagonally then added a white cross piece to both of the cut edges.  I used mounting foam on the backs of both halves to raise it and attached it to another piee of white card with a sticky adhesive piece placed in the gap between the two halves.  I cut the Christmas Greetings sentiment in both red and black and shadoed it, then added it to the shadow backing piece which I cut in white.  I peeled the backing piece off of the adhesive strip and attached the sentiment, then filled in the remaining sticky adhesive area with Frosted Sparkle Glitterbitz.  I cut two slowers in white from the Poinsettia Trio die set and added them at the bottom of the card along with some white accent pieces from the Foliage Pieces die set.  The card was ompleted with white, red and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  8 1/4"  in size.

    A lovely card from you again Sue. I wonder how you keep managing to get your creations done and ready for posting every day.
    I'd love to follow you round for just 1 day but wouldn't know whether to bring my cane, my walking frame or my wheelchair,and of course someone to push the chair and repeat what you say in case I can't hear you.

    Hi Sue, if something can be both traditional and contemporary then this is surely it. Love the red & white and the poinsettias- traditional, the swirls background and the design - contemporary. A beautiful card.
