If Friends Were Flowers
Good Sunday morning all! I embossed a piece of white card with the Twill Weave embossing folder. Next I cut a wide strip of clear acetate and used Pearl Tints across it in a linear diagonal manner. I allowed them to dry overnight. I cut the If Friends Were Flowers Slimline All In One out of both white and black card. I used the black die cut as a shadow behind the white die cut, then added the Pearl Tint backing to it and trimmed away the excess. I added it with mounting foam to the left side of the card. I used small pieces of white card and cut more of the larger flowers on the die. I added them to the three main flowers, then finished with small pearls in the centres. I cut a couple of Bauble Branches in black and used them as a swirly flourish coming off the corner of the die cut. I completed the card with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7" x 8 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x
Hi Sue

Morning Sue.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card thank you.
Take care and have fun Kitty.
The pearl tints look great especially x
ReplyDeleteMorning Sue and friends, those friends that pop in before and after me, and our missing friends.
ReplyDeleteThis inspiration is absolutely gorgeous from the background to the all in one 'If friends were flowers die' but I'm not 100% sure the Bauble Branch sits well, it's such a pretty delicate intricate design it's one that deserves to take centre stage and all the glory, either the branch will outshine the friends die or vise versa, and the slimline 'friends' is also so beautiful with a design that needs to shine all by itself, either way the Sunday sample is gorgeous. I'll love n leave now hoping I've not over stepped the mark. Love to all this Sunday xxx
Morning Sue and all Wilsonettes, wow those pearl tints in the background look amazing, I must try that technique again. Beautiful creation xx

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday everyone x
I have a bit of a soft spot for this sentiment as it was one of the first stamps I bought when I first began my cardmaking journey. I still have the stamp - it’s very large, bulky and rubber!
Now I know I keep banging on about your backgrounds but why on earth wouldn’t I? Here is another beauty to brighten my day. Today’s card is perfection x
Scottydog we haven’t had any snow. I don’t mind when it’s raining but just didn’t fancy going for a paddle/swim instead of a walk. Lol x
Sending you all happy thoughts x
