Follow Your Heart
Hi crafters! I started today's card by taping the Large Polka Dot mask to a piece of white card. I used Clear Texture Paste and used a palette knife to pull the paste through the mask. Without removing the mask, I sprinkled Teal Marine and Groovy Grape Pixie Sparkles all over the paste. I very lightly spritzed it with water to activate the powder, then carefully removed the mask and set it aside to dry thoroughly overnight. Once dry, I cut a wide frame using the Double Stitched Squares and added it with mounting foam over the background. I cut the Heart Leaf Flowers out of wisteria card and inked the edges with Shaded Lilac Distress ink. I seated the flower in the lower left corner of the frame. I cut leaves in white and also a couple of Bauble Branches in white and used them as accents around the flower. I cut the Follow Your Heart sentiment in black and glued it to the upper corner of the card. The card was completed with white and black mats and layers. The finished dimensions are 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" in size. All for now, Sue x

Beautiful card Sue xx
ReplyDeleteGood Saturday morning Sue. Its been a while but I can almost see you in my minds eye doing a demo on this sample only because when you use a mask you do it so perfectly never needed to apologise for an oopsie or anything (I'm constantly being told I think about the weirdest of things) lol OK that's me, but it doesn't separate me from my minds eye and enjoying the few moments of your beautiful demo of this mask then the beautifully made sample that only you can put your name to. I do miss seeing you do what you love as do so many of us, thank goodness for Particraft and YouTube.
ReplyDeleteTrish .... I was told about a possible 4th dose when I had my 3rd, our skin could end up looking like a human mask with smaller holes !!! I'm with you - when will it all end? Xx
Morning Sue and all the Wilsonettes
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful card today
Sending love and healing hugs to all that need them xx
Hope you all have a good day and stay safe

Hello Sue
ReplyDeleteI love waking up to your blog, every day is so different your cards are always amazing.Take care everyone x
Good Morning Sue. Beautiful card today Sue. I love your background in this one. I have only just gotten into masks and pastes. So this interests me. I do wish though ... like everyone else ... we could get the video days back. I used to love Saturday morning with you. And I would love to see this piece of art taking shape. The only thing I would change on this is the colour of the flower. I would have done it in a turquoise colour. But no offence meant ... Just my opinion. Thankyou Sue.
ReplyDeleteSending hugs 🤗 and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.
PLEASE PLEASE KEEP STAYING SAFE 🙏 🙏 🙏.

Hi Sue. What a lovely spotty card today. Love the feminine colour scheme. Just by changing the stencil or colours you could make some different cards, just think of the possibilities.....

Hi Sue
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday everyone x
Another beautiful card and another wonderful background. I have used this technique before albeit with Pixie Powders and not Pixie Sparkles. That said I can say, from experience, I know that in ‘real life’ this card will be even more gorgeous x
It is a very wet and dreary day here in Croydon - some may say isn’t it always like that in Croydon? Lol. Was hoping for a gentle stroll to brush away the cobwebs but having them washed away is not something I’m keen on. The cobwebs will stay put until things brighten up!
Sending you all happy thoughts x
