If Friends Were Flowers, I'd Pick You

Hello crafters!    I embossed a piece of milk coloured card using the Celtic Flower embossing folder. Next, I cut the Slimline If Friends Were Flowers All In One out of chestnut brown card. I added a milk card backing to the die cut. I cut it again in both straw yellow and khaki green card.  I nipped all of the flowers out of the straw die cut and leaves out of the Khaki green card and glued them on top of the chestnut brown base.  I cut just the flowers out of the straw card die cut and glue them on to the chestnut brown base (the flowers will be glued to the green leaves and flowers) I added small 3mm white pearls to the centres of all the small flowers.  Using the Sunflower Bouquet die set, I cut seven or eight leaf stalks out of Khaki green card and cut seven or eight of the sunflower heads.  I cut the centres out of chestnut brown card and cut three extra to go on to the centres of the three larger flowers in the slimline die.     I added the sunflower stalks and flower heads to the right side of the embossed background so that it looks like a huge sunflower garden.    Next, I cut two clouds out of Arctic Blue card using the Twinkle Twinkle Stars and Clouds die set.  I glued them in place at the top of the card.  I added the slimline die to the left of the sunflowers with mounting foam.  The card was completed with milk card and chestnut brown card mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8 ¼”  x  9 ½”  in size. All for now, Sue x

  11. Good Morning Sue. I love the ... If friends were Flowers ... slimline die. But for me ... and no offence meant here ... The other flowers are not for me. It's not very often that I disagree with all our other wilsonettes ... but I am so sorry Sue ... Today's card would not be my choice. But hey Sue ... a massive Thankyou for everything you do for us Particraft fans. Sending hugs πŸ€— and best wishes to everyone who needs them today.

  18. Hi Sue - loving the sunflowers - my absolute favourite flower! I think the amount of sunflowers is just perfect - commercially they grow in huge fields that stretch as far as the eye can see, so definitely not too many in my view. Beautiful and uplifting - thank you. Colleen x

  24. This is a lovely sentiment and I like the card but I think I would use less sunflowers outside the frame because, to me, it looks a bit overcrowded.
